schumi goes out in style !

Well, from 10th on the grid up to 5th then a puncture that puts him down to last, and now he's back up to 6th !!!!!!
Even if he does not end up the champion of 2008...

You cannot fault the MAN !
He currently has just put in the "fastest lap " !

so for all you DD racers
Remember this !

It aint never over till the "fat lady sings"

Go get em schumi !

keefer 22-Oct-2006 19:07

as randy says "for sure"
hope he gets a podium

MJS 22-Oct-2006 19:29

Finished 4th, only half a dozen seconds behind Alonso in 2nd, and only 25 secs or so down on Massa... pretty impressive considering Massa was right behind him ready to lap him after his pitstop for his puncture....

Not bad for an 'old man'... what a drive...

cruel very cruel !

Her indoors just asked me who I will follow next season?

TBH, I have followed his F1 career since he started, I have met him, I have had dinner with His farther Rulph, and been lucky enough this year to have a guided tour of his private museum, In Kerpen.

so i think I'm going to hang my hat up with Him, and spend some time in the garden next year !!
The eifell is getting a bit out of control ! lol

You're a lucky man, Mav

I met Michael once, way back at Silverstone in either 90 or 91 when he was part of the Mercedez Benz Sportscar Junior team, he signed my programme that weekend and came across as a really nice guy.

I've just watched the race on RTL, all in German, but it's still going on... think they'll be on it all night...

Once in a while a true legend comes along, Michael is one of them.

Very True !
people have ****ged him
but all who have watched that race today can see why he was 7times world champ !
The man is a genius , and "HE" will hold those records for a very very long time to come !

The British don't like winners, and Schumi took winning to a new level...

But above all, he was a racer - the championship was gone today, 3 laps to go in his last race, but still pulls off a move down the inside of Raikonnen with inches to spare... Genius indeed

I never forgave him for that '' Cynical piece of driving ' against Damon in Adelaid.

Wonder how it would have been perceived had it been the other way round?

To my mind, Hill drove into a gap that wasn't there, he was never alongside Schumi - I've just watched it again last night. At the time, I don't recall a single driver suggesting it was Schumi's fault... not even Mr Squeeky Clean Prost...

The bottom line is, Damon Hill was a nice guy, but just not on the same level, and he was cr@p at overtaking - which is why the following year he managed to punt Schumi off at Silverstone and Monza when trying to pass him...

I think it was Murray who called it a cynical piece of driving and he loved them both.

Yes Michael was a better natural driver, Damon made mistakes like most of us would, but still won his Championship.

And if Damon had done it to Michael? I'd have larfed...cos at the end of the day he's a German ;)
