Barros on a Duke

Welll, Barros is going to be on the D'antin duke. interesting now to see who will fill the other vacant places in the other teams.

blimey, I didn't see that coming. Could be interesting ???

Thats Barros's carreer ending with a phhhht! then. Even a good rider like him will struggle with team useless.

will it be that clear cut ? ..... new bikes, new tyres, talented rider. Not saying he's gonna set the world on fire, just that there are a lot of differences for the exisiting d'antin team

weeksyracing 24-Oct-2006 09:57

ridiculous idea IMO, he had the pick of the paddock in WSB and some race wins. Will go to MotoGP and be a nobody.

can't figure that out for the life of me.

What tyres will D'antin be on?

sye73 24-Oct-2006 10:57

Bridgestones I believe... same as the factory team

I guess the choice is to be competetive in what is generally percieved to be a lower class, or take on a new challenge in the premier class

hrmmm, still on a 'tier 2' tyre then :D

Bridgestone need to lift their game I feel, they aren't consistent enough to give Loris a a shot at the title, and Casey if he can find some consistency himself, and less gravel!

Ozz 24-Oct-2006 11:07

Definitely not a rumour that I saw circulating!

All you Aussie's seem to have a thing for gravel

It's better than tyre walls and armco! ;-)

Seriously though, I reckon D'Antin will do better next year. For sure, they're not going to have the total tricked up 800cc GP7 that the factory will have, but on the same tyres with a brand new bike I think the playing field will be a bit more level. If Ducati produce a **** hot 800cc bike, then D'Antin should also do OK. Bridgestones have been improving year on year, you only have to look at Loris' results this year.
