They will have now LOL |
Yep, thinking about it as a spare. I'd really prefer the gen Termi' item, but £2,000 plus.......... |

Ah go on Rob, get your wallet out, you tight git... |
Is this any better than the standard pipes and termi's and whats it actually worth, and can you still get them to order? is it better to go for 48/50mm pipes as against this 45mm set? ian |
Are they really 45mm? Look wider to me. Won't post though ("pick-up only"). |
45mm is perfectly good up to about 115hp. For 120hp+ you need the 50mm |
unless i was mistaken i thought it said it was a 45 system. does anyone know if this system releases anymore power cheers ian |
It releases more power at the top end, allows it to rev further and sounds much better. You will also need an FIM or similar chip. |
I thought the 45 mm is the best thing for a 851/888. On ebay germany there is a 50mm collector, but that is for a 926! You can put it on your 851/888, but you won't get that much advantages. |
Hi, the size as in 45/50mm is more to do with the lift, timeing and size of the exhaust valves, than the capacity of the motor. The 926 would be running bigger valves and latter full race cams, i think. Steve Robins s.w. |
888 Termis |
Road legal 80db jobbies. |
Well ive taken a gamble and bought the old T8 a new exhaust system whether it will work well with the strada engine road time will tell. it will make winter more interesting as it needs polishing and fitting and a dyno run will give me a true wheel BHP figure something the old girl has never had. |
a dyno run will give me a true wheel BHP figure something the old girl has never had.[/quote] Are you getting Alf to do that? |
Don't polish it...... Rod for your back and all that. I did mine and wish'd I hadn't. Rgds, Rob |
For those with DEEP pockets, these guys will make almost anything you like: http://www.arcfabrication.com/ F |
So can these guys: http://www.goodfabs.com/index.htm and this guy: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/grahamf/products.htm Oh...and these guys: http://www.ojzengineering.co.uk/html/home.htm If they can do these - ![]() I'm sure they can knock up a spaghetti system. Don't know about prices but a quote from their website looks encouraging: In addition to to our own OJZ manufactured headers, we can supply all headers in kit form for you to fabricate your own design headers using our cnc cut header flanges and mandrel bends, kit prices start at £129.95 for a four cylinder engine using 38.10mm primaries. Anybody fancy a bulk purchase ??? |
Certainly :) |
Fine idea count me in |
Hi Rob Im expecting the Sil Moto system tom and i was going to polish it the same as ive done the standard system while the bike was in bits, any reason youve had hassle with polishing? ian |
Yep, looks fine to begin with but as you ride your bound to gets splashes and such on the front pipe so you'll be intoa cycle of constant polishing to keep it clean. Rgds, Rob |
