888 CARBON HUGGER -For Sale 1 Attachment(s) I am selling my spare Ducati Rear Hugger,It is Immaculate. It had a minor crack which has been repaired to a superb standard(you would not notice,if i didn't tell you!).The support around the rear mounting hole has also been reinforced('cos my last 2 broke).I am happy to e-mail pics. Looking at £80. |
Looks very interesting Jasper. Is there only one type of fitting for all the 851/888 swingarms ? |
Not sure mate. |
I think there are two types of mounting. One for early 851 machines and one for later 851 and 888 bikes. But I may be wrong.:) If it doesn't fit yours Phil then I would be very interested Jasper. Do you have a photo from the other side? |
Both my swingarms look very similar. An idea Jasper - if we both measure the distance between the mounting holes and compare notes ? A pic of the other ide would be good to check how the holes that side look too please. |
I am away from home for the next couple of days as i am in hospital now(no idea who's wireless network i've logged on to!!),but will get the pictures and measurements for this weekend. The Hugger isn't going anywhere!!Thanks for the interest. |

2 Attachment(s) ok,i'm back!!115mm between hole centres.And here is a pic of other side. |
You ok? |
I've torn the tendons from my shoulder and neck. They have cut and shortened the ones at the front,to stop my shoulder dislocating and re-attatched the other.Apart from that,i'm great. This op will decide if the SP5 is for sale or not.:( |

Well, hopefully not then. Get well soon 888 bro... |
Ow ! That will take some time to get back to anywhere near normal ! I've had keyhole surgery on both my shoulders, and it takes 6 months before everything starts to feel as if its moving something like normally, so you cant really get any idea of how much your range of movement is affected till after then. Start exercising now ! (I'm not kidding - dont let your shoulder get stiff - however uncomfortable it gets - mobility is essential - and you'll only be able to do very gentle things with it at first anyway) |

ME...! As it looks like it will fit mine....but only if phil h doesn't want it, because after all he asked first.....are you having it phil? |
Jasper, don't give up on riding a sportsbike again. I've had some serious stuff done to both mine and although it takes ages before you can even scratch your head, you will recover eventually. Unfortunately it's an age thing, in that the older you get, the longer it takes. I was back on the ZZR after about 3 months and although the riding position is not as forward as an SP, it did weigh about 4 tons ( or so it felt) ...for gawd sake don't drop it though, cos you'll never pick it up again! Good luck and stick with the exercises ! |
Phil H,do you want the hugger,'cos Philthy does!!?? |

Yes please. Sorry for the delay - been busy at work and only just caught up with things - just gone out and checked dimensions. |
get well soon jasper, and don't make any rash decisions! it will seem like forever till your well enough to ride again, but in hindsight probably won't be long at all. |
