Winter is def approaching up here, a lot colder today.

Was going to go on the bike today but bad back and an overpacked garage prevented me, was very glad once I realised how chilly it was.

Currently looking at some lovely heated grips.... :D

Twas a lovely day for a spin, a bit nippy but dry as a bone and nice n grippy before the salt comes out. Just loving being on the road with the sun out :D

phil_h 01-Nov-2006 21:58

It was lovely out today - better than monday when it was still a bit damp.
I say lovely, I mean cold and lovely, until I ran out of fuel on the wife's bike :(
It got a lot warmer when I pushed it a mile and a half to a garage

Mello-Yellow 02-Nov-2006 16:00

Had average temp off 9 degress showing during afternoon ride then dropped to 4 degress on way back home around 8.30.

It's all relative though, it feels cold to us, we have been having temps up in the high 20's right up to this week.......
and when I walked the dog at 7.30 this morning it was 6 degrees - still loverly and sunny though....:p

Monty 03-Nov-2006 07:54

Maz, as I write this it is 8.00am friday, bright and sunny-and 1.5c outside with a frost on the garden...............and I live in Cambridgeshire!
Mind you it will get a lot colder over the winter where you are I suspect than where I am.

John

Melnie Mouse 03-Nov-2006 09:29

It's been mild for ages for this time of year until 2 days ago all of a sudden, and it's freezing riding in at 7.45 in the morning! cold at night once heating goes off, and i've only just put that on 2 days ago!

back to getting bike mucky soon then, and yukky salt again, oh no washing after ride outs everytime, what a chore!

BDG 03-Nov-2006 11:14

It was brass monkey weather up here this morning, but still enjoyed the ride in coz it was lovely bright sunshine, so with a bit a imagination and being well wraapped up i could imagine it being summer in the South of France, sad but true

I don't think so - we are in the plain, not up the mountains..... last Xmas day was 22 degrees :D So we get to look at all the pretty snow, without actually having to experience it.
However, now that we have a husky, we may just have to take him up to the snowline.:rolleye:

Our last 2 were a bit like that too - Borzois.......

Oh, BTW, just got back from an afternooon on the beach......

Guido 19-Nov-2006 17:37

White over with frost here this morning when I ventured out at 9am to go to a motorcross meeting with a pal who races.

Have to say that that today was the 1st time I've ever had to be towed INTO the field where the meeting was held rather than just out of it!!!!!!

Had a good day though shooting my first MX meeting and hope to sell some pics.

Every little helps as they say.

Now about to have a hot bath to fully defrost!!!!
