Someone has been busy with photoshop again.... The front looks wrong! And from the sneaky pics seen already the tail unit looks to 'wide' on this mock up.... Hurry up Milan so we can all find out the truth!

They look better actually, that bike doesn't look too bad.

Shades of MV in the tail lights and that swingarm looks like you could hold up a bank wielding it!

Damn you beat me to it, I am pretty sure these are it. Looks very similar to the spy photos we have seen and if it is the new 1098, I like it. Still remains to be seen if this is 100% accurate but I dont think it is far off the mark. Who ever leaked these is going to be a marked man / woman by Ducati (horse's heads and all that!!)

front lights look like the Daytona 675, have no idea what that seat unit is all about, a 999 unit tacked onto something else......not keen on the back end....looks good from the front and`sides though....as long as I dont look at the seat unit.....fairings look like a pain to get off

Its not doing anything for me at the mo.Sure its a nice looking bike,but not very Ducati looking.It looks like any other bike that is being churned out.
Hopefully it will look better in the metal.

Today is the 7th November, so it's in exactly a week's time, Tuesday 14th November.

Rather irritatingly for MCN, this is the day before their publication date so, even if they manage to 'hold the front page', Ducati enthusiasts will have had nearly 24 hours to look the bike over on the inevitable web pages that'll have it the day before....most likely appear on ducati.com synchronised with the official launch, and no doubt make an appearance pretty quickly on here.

I'm sure it won't stop MCN claiming another 'World Exclusive' though :lol:

What was that kids origami program from many many years ago? you start with a flat sheet of paper and end up with a boat, hat, or motorbike.

Trumpet went that way for a short while designwise, Muz are another design team who are keen on the use of the ruler?

Hmmm. Looks like the original 916 with a fat 4rse and a facelift. Kinda how the 916 would look if it was human and "aged".

Tim Macabee made a big point of the technical spec of the bike at the DSC Dinner Dance, so I'm assuming Ducati will be pinning their hopes on that rather than the looks. They did that with the 999 though and look where that got them...

they are using the old tools that Volvo threw away ! LOL

Works for me, might even be worth flogging the RS to get one. After all it's reputed to have at least 10bhp more as a standard road bike, and no silly service intervals!

But to be honest, if the KTM RC8 spec was similar and cheaper - I'd go Orange. Just to match my mobile provider you see, in these metrosexual days it's important to coordinate whilst accessorising ;) :lol:

I like KTM's but think the 1098 looks better than the RC8.

Pics look genuine - as though they've been scanned from an already printed brochure or press release - someone's had to produce exhibition panels and press packs in advance for next week's launch I expect - so probably a genuine leak.

I think it all looks good. I just hope the tank holds more than the 999 and us big blokes can fit it.

Dual headlights - I hope they're better than the 748/916 ones, especially on dip.

They've gone back to 916-ish curves rather than follow the chiselled 999 look (the KTM has already taken that to the next stage - yum).

On the whole, it will be enough to make me enquire on PX value on a 2002 999bp (sweet FA I expect), but don't get me wrong, I like the 999 and it was actually a braver move to launch it than to launch the 1098.

Here's looking forward to next Tuesday....

I expected to be blown away, and so far I'm not.. A step back from the 999 I think. Got passed by a MV on the way back from work yesterday. They still look fab..

its suposed to be going quicker on test track than the gsxr 1000 but as this was quoted in mcn who knows. hopefully we'll be racing one in 08.
