LMAO....yeah 5 sets will easily cover it Ian.....you would get away with 3 or 4 imho........

They really do last well and even when they go " off " a bit they still offer good grip with progressive slides..they dont just let go......

Brilliant tyres imho......

what class with Dp.?.......

kye 15-Nov-2006 09:08

My tyres where 2 seasons old (+ trackdays) and still good enough for pole position at Cadwell, although they were breaking into progressive slides when being pushed at the end

exactly....even when pushed they slide with great feedback...they dont snatch..!..

thats on a 583...my brief excursion on the 620 race at cadwell highlighted to me that the 620 will need a tyre change more often than the 583.....as i say i reckon 3 sets will see me through the 620 season......

NBs996 15-Nov-2006 09:20

I did 2 pairs this year.
That was for 7 race meets plus 7 track days.
Maybe I could've done with a third set? At cadwell I was struggling with front grip, but I'm not bright enough to work out if that was shagged tyres, bike setup or ME!

:D :D you only did 1/2 the rounds & no track days!!

andys 900ss 15-Nov-2006 19:46

I managed six, ok 5.5, races on Kevs used tyres (i think he's had them on all season.

My other second hand set did 3-4 trackdays and most of the Cadwell 2-dayer.

Theres another season in them yet

I told our tyre sponsor that we need a new set for each meeting, so we'll have 24 sets of part worns next year ;)

Rattler 15-Nov-2006 21:18

I used three sets this year, there's a bit left in the last set.
I reckon you could get away with 2 fronts and 3 rears for the whole season and trackdays etc....

Tim

why not just buy one set & then get new ones when you need them.

Because thats to eze CHass...............LOL

But in Ians defence i think he is concerned with the manufacture explosion in China..not only have they bought up most of the alu in the world, he fears they may start buying all the rubber.......leaving him with 1 set for the season.?..so he is buying 3 sets to sell to us later in the year at a HUGE profit...!!

accumalate to speculate.

because i will be moving house early next year,so i'm trying to get everything ready for the start of the season..
so all i will have to worry about is the entry fee, and test days..I'm just trying to get everything sorted...I will be running 2007 on a very tight budget.....
