Official Tricolore Pics On the Ducati website now are the official Tricolore pics. Much better under proper studio lights but still going to go for the "S". Wheels look different to the "S" (no I dont mean the colour), ie the spokes. Here is the link: http://www.ducati.com/en/bikes/my200...TRI COLORE-07 |
Looks nice but whats with the chrome flash on the side of the tank ? looks very odd |
Wonder if that swingarm will fit an original 916 ?? |
Tricolore gets forged wheels! |
so does the S i think |

I was gonna go to that, but couldn't be arsed to drive up. Did they tell you anything new? Or was it just hyping up the launch? |
"Looks nice but whats with the chrome flash on the side of the tank ? looks very odd" When you see it in the flesh it's not even chrome. It's brown, looks like a piece of pacel tape. Most odd. |

pretty much said what everyones already read, discussed production dates etc, you didnt miss anything really! |
If I go for one, I'm going to replace those cans with a 999 unit, much more in keeping I think personally |

those pipes just dont gel with the rest of the bike. it'll be intresting to see what Zard or Sil come up with... i would'nt be able to live with those squinty things they've stuck on. |
Confusion over "S" wheels spec The wheels shown on the studio shots of the "S" are erroneous. The "S" will have black versions of those shown on the tricolore which have much thinner spokes than those seen in the wallpaper shots. These are essentially the same wheels as on the Monster S4RS. I do not know why these were in the photo, but if you look at any of the shots of the "S" in Milan, the wheels are identical to those in the studio shots of the "S" |

I'm sure its a gold flash on the tank, but I agree with you and Derek (749er), it does look odd. It may appeal to some. |
it looks like a cross between an aprilia and honda graphics and how many times does it need "ducati" on it? you should be able to tell a ducati without needing big logos or garish paint schemes. i'd think the tank has a bronze stripe to match the wheels and frame. |
They need all those graphics as it could be from any manufacturer on the market as it has stlying from all of them. its pants! |

They should have toned down the motoGP tricolore look, its got less Ducati logos :) I agree its pants, even if I have a tank cover on the multistrada people who know nowt about bikes know its a Ducati, same with the 999, take the logos off that and I bet they wouldn't have a clue :( ![]() ![]() |
Nice pics Gizmo. |
I just assumed it was a further attempt at retro-look, and thought the colour matched the colour used on the frame ? I don't just think it looks odd - it looks awful to me, spoils the other lines completely to my eye, but I'm not a brilliant young Italian designer.... |
I do like the retro style Number boards on the fairing sides. I wonder if they will make it to WSB?? |
Like the red and white part of the paint work. Green is OK ish, but, the belly pan should be green or similar and not black. Is it just me, or do the mirrors look like after market items from Demon Tweaks :o |
Just been back and had another look .... not to be argumentative, but, I don't like the colour scheme. Sorry to all those that have ordered one :( |
