What are YOU doing to get ready for 2007?

As it says, could be anything from losing weight, eating healthy etc to shaving weight off the bike, fitting that lightened flywheel ;)

:D

Me, I've lost a bit of weight recently and I plan to lose a bit more and get some cardio fitness about me. Also do some core strength and hip flexibility.

Need to get my suit sorted out with a few things for fit and stretch in the right area's. Need some new gloves and need to fix a hole in the outer skin of my right boot. Daytona's nothing better.

Gaudix I'm going to spend some time working on my head and a few other things ;) and just generally get the bike to fit me. Fortunately I don't have to worry too much else about the bike because the prep in Team Louigi Moto/OD2 is second to none.

What's your prep?

Exactly! :D

Don't get me wrong, there will always be a place for beer in my flat :)

I also need to finish fixing my shoulder and ankle. Ideally I'd like to get a game of rugby in before the end of the season, that'll sort me out! I'll try not to hurt myself

couchcommando 26-Nov-2006 15:03

With all the mountain biking and off roading I'm doing I'll be the fittest I've ever been for the start of the season, will pay dividends for spectating I guess lol

kye 26-Nov-2006 15:37

I've been scrapping money for my new bike together and looking for sponsors lol

Loosing a little weight from not being able to afford food too, works wonders this living on your own

Got a mate now whos dad seems to know a lot of people and is quite good at getting sponsors so hes going to give me a hand and some tips too

Grib 26-Nov-2006 15:49

Doing a few (OK, a lot of) miles on the Mountain bikes and building stamina. Trying to lose a bit of weight by not snacking etc....and all for nothing :( If I was racing next year, I'd be in pretty good form for it...ho-hum.

domski 26-Nov-2006 16:07

Ummmm... this winter I will mostly be working my nuts off!!

Can't say anymore than that though - Spies everywhere :ninja:

:frog:

boggy 8 26-Nov-2006 16:35

1. Prep my bike myself.
2. Lost 1 stone still got 1 to loose.
3. Gym 3 times a week.
4. Mx riding once a week.

Chaz 26-Nov-2006 16:45

I was positively begging for it
Never gets tiring I suppose!

Anyhoo ... I'll also be measuring myself on my times to see if I improve from previous times at tracks and trying to be more consistent ... it's gonna be tight next year and I just want to keep improving, if I can do that I'll be happy :)

phil_h 26-Nov-2006 19:53

I'm looking at css dates already
Unfortunately ... the first 2 days are the monday/tuesday immediately after the (probable) brands season opener
Dont know whether to book and just cope with the flak when herself finds out I'll be at racetracks for 4 days in a row :(

Its really nice being able to start working my fitness up already - its wonderful this not-crashing lark ;)
I think I'll try and keep that idea going next year

andys 900ss 26-Nov-2006 22:17

I've been back in the pool just a week now, as my shoulder was worse than first thought from my off at Cadders... Its our manic season with swimming now until March so it gonna be a hard slog to get fit again.

As for the bike, just finished fitting a super-charger............oops, did I say that out loud??

583's nearly ready for its makeover and the 620 is still in 4-boxes... ;)

I'm doing none of the above

I should be concentrating on building up a race fund, but i'm spending it as fast as I can earn it at the moment but at least the garage is water tight again

The opposite< I got rid of the in garage swiming pool, as Andy 900SS knows where I live I was worried he would be around using it for training all the time :)

Trouble with that method Eric is its not cost effective, the harder you train the more costly it gets

Were you training in Kev's garage last week Eric?

WeeJohnyB 27-Nov-2006 13:42

after the comments of a certain person about the picture of me in Pronto, I will be concentrating on looking good.

In my defence

Guy was using a zoom lens
I had a copy of Twist of the Wrist stuffed down my front
My back protector has a large protusion at the front
The leathers were tailormade 4 years ago before my extensive stomach building exercise regime
I was leaning over at the time
I was breathing in at the time
My schedule for that week was 'hair'
I usually need advance notice to stick my chest out which compensates for my stomach
I have deliberately 'bulked up' so as not to be out of sync with the rest of the No Limits team

This winter I'll be mainly riding my bike ;)

shame:(

:p

C, 'thinking' about losing some weight.................

NBs996 27-Nov-2006 14:17

A very strict regime of gathering, resting, or even hibernation until Feb.
I was considering sorting myself out with some css, but realised I'd probably get Perrin as my instructor and he'd teach me to go slower just to **** me off. So will have to pay WJB and his well fed friends a visit instead.

As for the bike... not my job guv!
