Howdy im new!

Hello peeps just wanted to say hi as i'm a neebie! Don't have a duc as yet as waiting for insurance money from accident to come through soon as it does its straight off with wad in my grubby mitts and lookin at either a monster 7 or 9, or maybe a 90's ss, anyone with any advice or recomendations would be greatly recieved! Want something for playing at weekends and scratching round a track, just got rid of a 750 gixxer and went down to a yammie 400 to slow myself down but i can't cope with having no power and i mean no power! So going back up the CC's and gonna have to learn some self control!! I'll try to be good I promise! :saint:

Welcome Norifan, you should find some good help around here :)

I'm in a warm flat mood so make mine a London Pride

What you want is a nice 996 ;)

bradders 26-Nov-2006 19:49

well hello, make mine a light lager of some kind, dont care which...and as he says ^ its a 996 you need ;)

haga41cat 26-Nov-2006 20:12

Love a 996! Really love a 1098! Cash won't allow and neither will the wife! Doh!
Monsters more in the price range and i've wanted one for years so now's the time! Anything i should look out for?

Also did i miss something with the drinks comments???

It's customary for newbies to open the virtual bar and get the drinks in!

I think it's time for a round of tequila shots ... ;)

YMFB 26-Nov-2006 20:21

Mines a Burton Bridge, London Pride or Pedigree in that order, welcome and you really need an ST2,3 of 4 so that you get all round usability, get a yellow one if you need something a little slower.

Martinp 26-Nov-2006 20:26

Its a yammie xs400 dohc done lots of bits too it as i was bored! Made some cans for it at work and a clutch window painted it and put rd350 headlight on and xs250 clocks as it had nice square light and clocks! Also just got swipped off it by some ****hole deciding to turn right as i was filtering no indication, maybe he thought it would be a nice surprise! Had an instant flying lesson and crushed a deodorant can with my back! Nice!!

haga41cat 26-Nov-2006 21:03

Also I'm leaving my virtual cash on the bar so run up a big tab the drinks are on me!

webteam 26-Nov-2006 22:46

Welcome, I think I'd murder for a drink right now ;)

My only Ducati advise to you at present - ride as many different models as you can first !!!

They can be an aquired taste - but once the bug bites.....be afraid !

Cheers - Frank

Welcome to the fold and the empty wallet syndrome.

You have turned a corner in your life to which there is no return now you have looked at Ducati`s. As other people have said ride as many different models as you can then decide but I guarantee you`ll love the experience in owning a Ducati.

Mines a Bols Advocat & Brown Ale with a Meths chasser.

One word of advice, unlike some of the tight wads on here, cough up the 20 or so beer vouchers and join the club proper like, it really is worth it and the people on here arn`t that bad really, some are even pleasant!

Welcom.

BOGNOR!

Isn`t that where people who are to old to join SAGA go and die?

Jesus, thats me!

RD 27-Nov-2006 09:53

Hello Haga41cat,

Welcome to the DSC.

There are a few members in Bognor, so you're not alone. I'm in Selsey.

Paul (Psychlist) is the regional organiser for Sussex and I'm sure he'll be along to welcome you soon.
The 'Sussex' group meet monthly at John Henry's in Findon. Perhaps we'll meet at JH, Bury Hill (Whiteways Lodge) or Box Hill sometime.

Good luck with your insurance claim.

Regards,

RD.

What is wrong with Bognor Regis :puzzled: Oh yeah, they do have a Butlins.

psychlist 27-Nov-2006 11:39

Hi there HC! As richard said, I'm the Regional Coordinator for Sussex and we meet every 3rd Sunday at 11am in John Henrys bar in Findon village, next door to Cissbury Leathers who will give card carrying DSC members a discount! We're always up for a coffee and a chat and you'll usually find one DSC member or another in John Henry's most Sundays cos they're very bike friendly and do good grub at cheap prices. We've got a few members in the Bognor area and, like me, none of 'em are able to get cheap Saga insurance yet (unlike Henry!) ;)
If you fancy a chat, or sound advice, about buying a Duke you've come to the right place, keep your eyes on this message board as bikes frquently come up for sale and you'll get lots of help and assistance in choosing the right one.
Look forward to meeting you soon,
Ciao for now,
Paul :ninja:

SlowLearner 27-Nov-2006 13:33
