My ti muffler has cracked badly as well. Sounds like there may be a design problem.

dickieducati 20-Oct-2003 07:57

i was advised against getting a titanium system by a ducati dealer as they were not strong enough for road use. ok for just track but not up to the rigours of our roads.

Mine has cracked in the identical location, must be a design problem.

Dibble 22-Oct-2003 11:56

look at that ... straight off the back of an MG Metro .... Kwik Fit have those on the shelves dont they ..??

JPM 22-Oct-2003 17:01

Ti-Max me thinks LOL!!!

stephens 25-Oct-2003 16:06

If you had paid $5000 for an exhaust system, you wouldn't find it so amusing.

Felix 25-Oct-2003 17:57

$5000?? Oh dear!

stephens 25-Oct-2003 23:19

That is $5000 AUD or around 2000 pounds

KeefyB 26-Oct-2003 06:24

Thats still a lot of cash for an exhaust system in anybodies money.
I wonder if the warranty replacement will be any better,................I doubt it.
Its about time that exhaust manufacturers (Lazer,Arrow,Micron......hmm,maybe not!) got their act together and started to offer more replacement cans/systems for the 999 series.
I like the look of the LeoVince system, still not cheap at 1400 quid tho!:o
Good luck with the warranty claim.

nathanhu 26-Oct-2003 20:03

got a call on wed new back box was in !!!!!!!!!! strange how this is an unknown problem (the official answer),and took 5 months for the system to arrive but 2-3 days for the back box? hmmmm .I will call the tech chief of Ducati germany(thats where i live) and see what he has to say. but at least they didnt quibble over the claim so i cant complain really
