Blimey... I used to be able to play all the bass lines on "Fish Out of Water" but I haven't heard the album for about 30 years

And the band that I used to play with in my early twenties used to do all our own stuff except for two cover versions - "Every Day" from Spectral Mornings and "In the Dead of Night" from a little known band called UK

The vinyl I had of these is long dead - I'll have to get the mp3's

Ah yes, UK. I have some stuff taped, unfortunately the last working cassette player in my house packed about over a week ago. I believe I have Danger Money plus a bootleg from Cleveland, Ohio (if I recall correctly). I may even have some more hidden away somewhere, I'll have to check.

I wish I played bass guitar - the idea of blasting out the intro to "Hold Out Your Hand" when you're feeling fecked-off really appeals to me

Martin Ducati Glasgow 15-Dec-2006 19:38

Faithless - New Album
Snow Patrol

Tomorrow night I'll be mostly listening to....................

Straight up......I'm photographing a corporate ball and they're the main event/act.

Should be a hoot reliving all my childhood memories of 3 Steps to Heaven with Dave Bartram!!!!!

Now where's me crepes!!!!!

Jools 18-Dec-2006 11:53

My musical tastes are VERY varied.

On my iPod at the moment people like Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The Killers, rub shoulders with Mahler, Sibelius and Mozart, Peter Gabriel, Yes, Kate Bush, Feeder, Kate Rusby, Seth Lakeman, Kathryn Tickell, Ian Drury, The Clash and so it goes...

As a bit of a muso myself I find there's something to love in all types of music.....except for Country music which I can't stand.

However, Mrs Jools heard a snippet of Sting and his "Songs from the Labyrinth" album on the radio and persuaded me to download it. It is without doubt the biggest load of pretentious old sheeeeite that I've ever heard

Sharpy G 18-Dec-2006 12:01

today.....Plain White T's

KeefyB 22-Dec-2006 18:32

Kiss-Shout it out loud
and a bit of the Kings of Leon.

air guitars are us!;) :D :D

Now gone all punk,.....

Its 1977 all over again............

Have not heard Primus or Janes Addiction for years, was talking to my girlfriend about Porno for Pyros though.

Right now we have Nirvana unplugged on, but been listening to Pixies, Jello Biafra and the Blue Nile
