6 speed gear box..

Looking at getting a 6 speed gear box..to work alongside the slipper clutch......

easy to fit.?..get etc.?

6 speed and slipper are this years must haves.....

TP 20-Dec-2006 11:35

Have you got a radial clutch m/c as well?

Gotta have one of them fil, you'll be well down the order without one ;)

ali 20-Dec-2006 12:18

They're saying that no one will get near the top 5 without a drop-forged technomagnesiotitanio reverse-threaded idler spiggot. And before I get flamed, that IS within the rules (although not within the spirit of the series) and apparently four bikes were running them back in '05, one of which also ran an 1143cc big bore and was kicking out 192rwbhp. That's what I heard anyway....

;)

sorry Ali - I'll have to pick you up on the spelling there mate!:o

Its: technomagnesiotitaniumno

and looks like the next lot of stock are going to be in soon:D

Fil - have you thought of adding the aerolightening helium in the frame too?

Saves a lot of weight that does:)

rich-racing.co.uk 20-Dec-2006 12:36

you can use helium in the tyres too.
saves weight, and if you have a bad day, you can breath it in and do the silly voice thing.

mjbayley 20-Dec-2006 12:48

And don't forget to get the Double Overhead Dog Biscuit modification as well !
(you get an extra 2,000 rpm with one of them!) ;-)

I will be the one laughing all the way to the protest shed

couchcommando 20-Dec-2006 17:59

Apparently the cagiva mito 7 speed gear box fits with little modification, one was shown to me last winter. I doubt anyone would think to check the amount of gears even on a protested bike. They are cheap to buy too and you wouldn't be the first one with one ;)

Only 7??

Its a 125 motor (?), so if you fit five you are under the cc limit but have 35 gears (or 21 forward and 14 reverse)

Think of the sprocket combinations too.......

I've had my people speak to his people, we're close to drawing up an agreement ... we should have the forks fitted by March.

Of course the billet yokes off the GP6 were a bugger to get out of the Corse people, but my people spoke to their people ...

:D

Did you know I was writing a book? :frog:
