Belly pan for ie?

Does anyone do a belly pan for the 1/2 faired ie? I don't want something to convert it to FF, just a belly pan in black...
something that extends to the back wheel, as per 999. If there's enough interest (and there's nothing available) I might consider making a batch myself.

I got one from JHP
I'll get the number in a mo.
Expensive though thru JHP, could also try www.kaemna.de as they do lots of goodies, got my single seat slide on unit from them and they do COD, but its nearly all in german, the ordering that is, with english translations except for how to pay, if you use kaemna then the word to look for , for COD is Nachename or summfink like that
Phone Dave or Mark at JHP on
02476 335300 and when that orful automated voice comes on, press 3
take you thru' to parts
The unit they sell is a full blown carbon fibre jobby, which is why sooooo expensive
If you can u2u me, I'll give you lots more detail or email me
mortonp1@aol.com
Get yer cheque book out and join the DSC if u aint already, its cheap and gets lots more goodies than just joining in the threads

I'd love to see some pictures of your bellypan when fitted Paulmort.

I ride my half faired SS ie in all sorts of weather and I can't help but think a bellypan might be a good investment for keeping at least some of those exposed parts dry.

when I first saw your avatar, had to look twice, I got dianese's similar to yours, bike looked the same, just you had lots more lean angle than me, that gave the game away..........
As soon as Nelly done with breathin fire into the internals, will be posting the piccies, but now its metallic Bloooo wiff gold lettering and gold wheels instead of that bl00dy orful greyish colour
Will show all and sundry (with apologies to Mr Sundry) what a little dosh and some expensive goodies does to an already bl00dy good bike

Borrocks, nothing will look as nice as mine

Lets have a 1/2 of drambuie shandy as bets, and let our club m8s at nellys have deciding votes:roll::roll:

Paulmort,

That would probably be a trick of the light or camera angle!

The leathers I have on in that pic are actually two piece Alpine Stars, although I do have a really good Dainese wet weather/winter jacket that's getting a lot of use over the last few weeks!

I've also put a few Supersport links here -

http://www.kapital-sales.co.uk/desmo/

Kaemna and Diopa included. If anyone else has other good SS links to include, I'm more than happy to add.

Hi there, I have a carbon fibre belly pan on my 750ie ss. I've had it on now for a couple of years & looks really good. I got it thro' Ducati Performance but was very expensive- back then it was £211.11
part number was 18256.
Hope this helps,
Greg

K.B.Im sure in a recent post you said you were from St Anns but your profile says Nottingham.
Is there a St Anns in Nottingham as well as near Blacpool?????:o:o

3narf 06-Feb-2004 07:54

Demon Tweeks catalogue

has a belly pan listed for £95; there's a pic of one fitted to a Monster 620 or 750 (wet clutch one, anyway) and it looks ok, though the SS one could be a totally different design!

paulmort 06-Feb-2004 21:11

Get the dremmel out 3narf

You may also need to get fabricated some brackets, but for 95 beer vouchers, worth a go, and if it dont fit, sell it via here or e-bay. Im sure you'll get the asking price especially if you sell it on for wot u paid plus a likkle p+p charge
If you want to see mine, then look at the General Messages thread that starts "srri folks, should have been elsewhere but........"
piccies there

Ps- bike is now safely esconced in my garage! Just need to replace the belts before I ride the thing, as it's been sat in the shop for a while.

What's the thinking on obtaining spares? Are the prices the same from main dealers as other scources? I'd rather not get belts thru' the post as they might get chewed about a bit.

paulmort 07-Feb-2004 18:45

Hey 3narf

send a u2u (if club member) or email Neil (Nelly) at Cornerspeed.
He'd get the belts to you in a box or by a safe way. As a DSC member you'd prob get some discount over retail prices, if you ask nicely of course.:D:)

Belts obtained!

From cornerspeed- £29, very reasonable.

What's the hot tip on oil filters? Which car ones fit?

Iconic944ss 13-Feb-2004 00:42

and heres a piccy from the Diopa website mentioned earlier that looks nice...

Car oil filters........you fergin skinflint
and youde likely wreck the engine......
Come back to Nellys and get one thats supposed to fit your Duc. A DUCATI oil filter.
Talk to Nelly about the cost, less than you'd think, and why didnt you pick one up the other day when you woz 'ere???
I know, just want to ride the bike more, eh!

3narf 14-Feb-2004 22:19

I find it EXTREMELY unlikely...

...that Duc oil filters are created from solid billet by master craftsmen in a workshop somewhere by an Italian lake.

Much more likely, they are built in exactly the same factory as a Kwik Fit one for a Daewoo Hooflungdung, but to Ducati's specification, ie black, with 'Ducati' written on it!

Having said that, I DID mean to get one from Neil on Thursday & totally forgot... so I got one from Manchester Duc and also a blank key. Bill was only £12.35 anyway.

It isn't really the price that makes the difference with the filter, just the fact I could pick one up from the local 'subwwoofer 'n anodized gear nob' shop, meaning I'd be more likely to change it more often.

Still, I suppose if I stick to ricambi originali I'll have an excuse to visit the shop!

paulmort 15-Feb-2004 18:27

3narf, you\'d got it cheaper

at Nelly's esp if you a DSC member m8:lol:
Glad u seen the light, coz I beleive that the dawhoo hooflungdung shop's aint as good as the real Duc ones....IMHO
