Glyn, If there's anyway you can wait for the BMF Show you'll find 80 squid will go a long way there. ;)

If you shop about you can get the original Sidi vertebrae's for around £80.
Very good boot.
My mate got a pair of these (the race ones) and they seem OK.

Sidi Vertabrae`s are good, the ankle took the full wheight of the race bike when I went in at the Bus stop at Mallory, good boot.

What size are your feet?

If they're anywhere near size 10, I've got an old pair of Styl Martin boots, in reasonable nick except that the left hand toe slider is missing (not that you would need it ;) ).

I still wear them from time to time, cos they're completely waterproof, warm and very comfy. But they're a spare pair and I don't really need them.

If they'll fit you, they're yours for a brekkie and a couple of pints.

Bought a couple of pairs of Frank Thomas boots at the last BMF show, think they were about £30 each, got one of the waterproof type (aqua) and one ordinary leather. May not be the "in" thing to wear but they are very good value for money IMHO.

I'm not a huge fan but Hein Gericke do some good boots at reasonable prices, I tend to have a wander down at lunchtimes for a nosey around cos its the only bike shop in walking distance and the boots are pretty good in there.

Hey Glyn, what Jools failed to mention was that the boots are cursed.Stay away from Rockingham or else you will have to take a trip into the graveltrap in search of the missing toeslider!;)

That made I larf.

But...I always seem to go down the road on my right hand side, so maybe it's the right hand boot that's the evil cursed boot and the pure innocent left hand boot has just taken the rap for it....

It's JR and Bobby all over again

I've got an old pair of wellies somewhere in the garage if that's any use?

Fordie 29-Feb-2004 08:36

I'd hang on to them Webby! Soon be Welly Wanging time again, funny how you get attached to some thing like a pair of wellies, hang them up in the garage like some sort of trophy from the past.Gardening will be second on your list if your planning the Ring. Regards 4D:lol:
