Wehey, got my zorsts back...

...and I'm well chuffed. After blowing a hole in my carbon cans last year I needed to get my exhausts repacked and resleeved. I decided to go Titanium and so sent them off to the guys at MHP in Surrey. These guys have done a superb job and I'm really happy, and it was half the cost of replacing the cans.

polished ends .. very 1998, joining the DOC mate ...???

and you know where you can shove them dont you Jamie, straight up yer rear end ....

Rattler will help hammer em in ... or NigelC is a dab hand at the zorst fitting malarkey ...

:roll::sing::roll::sing:

The whole exhaust was polished when I bought it, not that you'd notice it now ;)

The guys at MHP just re-buffed them up so I guess I need to get a bit of elbow grease in to the rest of it now :(

Why would I want to join you at the Doughnut Overeaters Club? You feeling lonely?

Totto 26-Mar-2004 10:16

Looks strangely familiar !

Just read this post on the Overclockers site :P:D

Very nice !

antonye 26-Mar-2004 10:25

My god!

Just look at the state of those floor tiles!

Desmondo 26-Mar-2004 10:33

I'll tell my mum you said that Ant, it's her floor :D

Totto, didn't know you still hung around over there as I hadn't seen your name for a while. Or do you go by a different name there now?

Queen_gravelpants 26-Mar-2004 10:41

They're really nice...out of interest how much did it cost you?

Dont have the time ,just lurk no posting !

Two kids & a Ducati , tie up 99% of my time the putter has taken a rest for now , Till the next upgrade that is !:(

Desmondo 26-Mar-2004 10:55

Total cost was £340. This included them to strip off the old carbon, re-pack the internals and then re-sleeve in titanium. All done by hand and the photo's really don't do them justice. Considering buying a new set of 54mm ti cans was around £600 I think it was well worth it.

Rattler 26-Mar-2004 11:14

Has the slut gone all bling!!!

Desmondo 26-Mar-2004 11:31

"The Slut" MkII is underway. Hopefully with a new paint job ready for the DSC Cadwell day.

Work is well underway on The Slut's little sister too ;)

Antonye, that remark is soooooo Essex ....

smilo006 26-Mar-2004 16:08

Wehey

Along the same lines.
Currently have 2 sets of carbon exahusts. One with polished ends (996R) and one without (996S). The carbon on the 996R ones is on the way out, therefore thought about swapping the carbon over.
Seen the maintenance kit (£500 here) but only really need one clip and the rivets. Ducati dealer cannot source them alone.

Can you get em (MHP perhaps) and is it possible to DIY this job. Asked my friendly Ducati dealer in Denmark and he wants likely over £100 to do the job.

If you think Ducati's are expensive come to Denmark! 996S that will be 30K to you.

AK 26-Mar-2004 16:18

Call Mark at MHP 01483 473473, he is brill.
(also one of AK's best mates) Fixed my can that AK kindly mullered last Sat, in a jiffy... ok about 2 hours on Monday night, and also re-polished up the other - buffing the weeny scratch out of it.
Did a good dyno run on AK's bike too last week, putting more out than the std 900ssie should:D
