Mirror extension blocks Hi guys, anyone know where I can source a set a mirror extension blocks to fit on the SL. I am sick of looking at my elbows;);) Cheers Ian |
It was such a long time ago.... I think I got mine from Brancato engineering.... http://www.brancatoengineering.freeserve.co.uk/ Could be wrong.... Good luck |
Good grief I was right for a change.....have a piccy even............ Frank |
Cheers Frank, I thought you might have the answer :D:D I`ve sent an email off to enquire Ian |
They are plug ugly things - like club foot boots for mirrors. :o I've had them for a couple of years and I'm seriously thinking of taking a band saw to them and cutting them so they taper off to the rear. This won't affect their extension properties but will hopefully make them slightly more aesthetically pleasing. |
How are you going to taper them Derek? mine are Brancato and are hollow inside with reinforcing struts, are yours from another source? Phil |
The Brancato extensions work OK but are ugly. I have fitted VFR 750 (CBR 600) pattern mirrors - needs an extra screw hole in the fairing but they work well. |

Nice edit !!! I never thought my garage wall would be so famous  Looks good but.....the bolts and nuts would be mounted at an angle inside the fairing. Not too much of a problem I guess - suggest it to Brancato and ask for some commission !!!! Frank |
ferget the extensions get an anglegrinder on yer elbows m8!!!!!!!!!!! trust mort to come up wiff a rather stupid answer get into a race position and keep them elbows tucked in Im actually swappin my mirroors for a pair I saw at nelly's which are about 1 cm shorter than mine, so the old ones free to anyone who wants them, p+p even paid. They are the square-ish type as Im moving towards the slightly oval shaped (at the outside edge, if that makes sense) type. rgds a too large mirrored mort:roll::roll: |
