black or white frame?
 

As part of the upgrade process, I'm going to get my frame and wheels powder coated.

At the moment I've chosen gloss black as the fairing will probably go black in the medium-term. However, the white frames of the early SS and SBKs do look great and really shows off the design.

I know the white frame will look good with the existing silver scheme, but will it look good with black fairings?

I quite fancy doing my frame in black come the end of the year.

I'd like to see a black SS.In the medium term I'll have to get mine done and black is an option(might look good with a red frame too):D

White sounds like heavy duty to keep clean while Black sounds sexy to me !!!

Go for the Darmah blooo frame and it'll suit about any other colour bodywerk. an it'll be soooooo different no one will have anything like it

Nice one Chi.....I like it.....Black always makes a machine look completely different I think.

That scheme works well with the Carbon goodies as well.

How about a silver frame, for that Alloy look ???

Silver would be cool, but only if it was plated, not painted.

For a previous project, I got a quote for a chrome plated petrol tank that sent me back to the drawing board so I dread to think what plating a whole frame would be.

May be a plan for when I win the lottery (again)....:lol:

ill upload some of pics of my ss soon, when its finished in a couple of weeks, looks completely diff in another colour.

it's going to be a gloss black, with matching wheels. A standard colour will make matching easy if I ever need to touch it up.

Eventually all of it will be done in the same black - inspiration from Rattler's all black track bodywork.

If I was a rich football player I would have an SL/FE with frame, wheels and bodywork all chrome plated. Unfortunately I'm not rich.........and I can't play football.....

Just watched the 'chopper' program on Discovery channel via SKY. They were building a tribute chopper to the New York fire dept and built an amazing chop (I can appreciate the engineering - but it aint my cup of tea) - however, the frame was painted a stunning RED !!!!

Got me thinking - Red 900ss - Red frame - Hmmmmmmmmmm

this is great - once we get an SS meet together, there's not going to be any confusion about finding your own bike within the sea of red, yellow, silver, black, blue, red....

A pic of my baby, she is almost ready, just threw the side panel on so you can get an idea, and still waiting on my tyres to be fitted. Cheers to paulmort for giving the push to have it done.!!! LOL. Think she looks loads better now.

And black is faster than any other colour.!!!!! LOL

When I had my 1st 900SS my brother had one in black with matt black cans, white wheels and a white frame. I still think it 's one of the best colour schemes and seemed to work remarkably well with the ladies!

I'll dig out some old photos and get 'em scanned.

Here's one I used to have. 10mph faster with red wheels!!
