Age Group

Ok stupid question here, whats the youngest and oldest rider in the DD series, is there any min\max age cut off point ?

Imola Duke 24-Jan-2009 00:15

Don't know who's the youngest but there's a few OAP in class B :D

Jolley 24-Jan-2009 03:53

I would imagine the min age is as per the ACU rules for racing that size of bike, and the max dependant on if you could still hold an ACU licence (not something I would know though!).

I would imagine the youngest is a 20-something, and the oldest a 50-something...

I think you need to extend those decades in each direction Ron......Lol....poor old Ghosty has a bus pass I'm sure, and Charlie, who's joining the melee this year, has a decade on us demi centenarians at least !

Scooter916 24-Jan-2009 08:51

I think Kye was 18 when he raced in 2006, Couldnt possibly comment on the oldest tho.

Chef 24-Jan-2009 10:40

Excellent....didn't realise that

I have 4 decades so there is still time....

& that means I have at least a decade to learn to ride my bike faster...:-)

faith-healer 24-Jan-2009 11:53

:o David I'll remind you of your comments the first time you finish BEHIND me....:D :D

....although I suppose I am slighly past my prime and should be confined to an arm chair and afternoon bingo sessions....

....as I advance into senility:confused:

Hmmm....that sounds like fighting talk! Is he still in China, and is that why you think you can get away with this, David? :)

nogaromill998 24-Jan-2009 20:04

Oh no Steve, Phil is well and truly back and the age related insults twixt we two continue unabated !

Why wait? One of the reasons I am racing is to learn how to ride faster anyway. There is nothing better than following someone faster than you, and no safer/cheaper way to do it.

Chef 25-Jan-2009 10:13

Agree - would be good fun and a great way to learn

Question of time really - maybe when the kids are older....

Got any jobs going in the Maldives...............................you can keep Northampton!.....:-D

And here was me thinking I would be the wrinkliest bod on the grid. Seems not since I'm still a couple of years shy of the big half-C. :o)
