Riders down at Anglesey Sadly not got news but I know some would like to know as they will be concerned for their friends Had a report through earlier from Senna3 saying that JPM and Lily had a coming together in the last race resulting with them being air-lifted to Bangor Hospital Initial report says John has suspected broken Collarbone and Claire a Femur and maybe more injuries. I'm hoping things aren't as bad as the initial report |
that sounds bad heres hoping their injuries turn out to be less serious than first reported. |
spoke to matt a few minutes ago, Jon collarbone and Lily femur and ankle. get well soon :( xxx |
Bugger.Best wishes to both. |
Heard about this whilst at Pembrey. Hope they both mend quick and love and thoughts are with them xx |
God that's awful. Get well soon guys. |
That is really sad, but it sounds as if both will be ok eventually. Will wait to hear more details, but wish them well. |

Just had an update from Senna3 John is back at the circuit, Collarbone broken in two places. Lily is in Theatre having her Femur sorted, if they are putting in a K-nail like they did with mine 28 years ago its a big op but makes for a good fix |
Ouch! GWS the pair of you! |
Eeeeek that sounds like a bad one - hope you're both on the mend soon..... |
Last report I had from Anglesey says Brummy Dave (Sarah Jenkins brother)was taken out in the Allcomers race and also suffered a broken collarbone |
When you get to read this Jon and Claire, we're all thinking of you, hope not too painful and bones will heal soon. (be healed just in time for Cadwell!?!?!?!?) All the best WeeJohnyB |
Sorry to hear the news. GWS soon JPM Lily and Brummie Dave |
Saw you both go down, not nice. Hope the op with the K-nail went well and Claire will soon be home, Take it easy both of you and GWS. Chris & Cathy :burn: |

Can only echo what everyone else has said, GWS the both of you. |

Claire, Jon, GWS you two-this is really taking togetherness too far. John |
GWS.. Craig |
Thanks everyone. Still stuck here in Bangor very fed up now and desperate to go home. Leg is painful but I'll survive. Just waiting on jon's collarbone now. Right bunch of crips at our house could be entertaining! See you all soon and thanks for all your kind wishes x |
how times change... when i did my femur, i was in traction for 2 weeks, then nailed (it was a new procedure back then, i was the 2nd person to have it done in that hospital) and another 2 weeks in hospital, followed by a years worth of physio which was all undone again when the nail had to be removed, so a further 8 months of physio... all in all, more or less 2 years! these days its get them in, get them nailed and get them out! lol Lily, bet you got some awesome bruises that far out-do your snetterton 2008 bruises! GWS both of you x |
