There will always be some twot thats got more money than sense.
Hmm,....ad says the bike has done 623 miles, while the speedo is showing 1003.

Steve GD 08-Aug-2009 06:56

Apologies for the diversion , Tim, but it seems that Fleabay's taste for Ducati exotica is growing....

As I have yet again failed to win the lottery, you're unlikely to be bidding against me on either of the above.
:)

1003 km - I think ;)

Money and sense don't always go together. They say a fool and his money are soon parted, but how did he get it in the first place. ;)

That's Ducati's for you;) now go buy the fecker:) I have some race fairings & bits we can get it on the track in no time:lol:

WeeJohnyB 08-Aug-2009 10:43

Wot no red mirrors? Are the air tubes carbon, can't tell. were the carbon on the original or did everyone have to buy eftermarket ones? Those tyres have seen some action for a bike that has done only 623, he's had it lent over a long way. Not the original tyres maybe, or trackday. If original tyres, how many revs did he take it to for the first 623 miles pre running in?

Looks the biz though, needs a front number board as well plus some carbon bits

If you had that sort of money you wouldn't be worried about losing a little bit of value by thrapping it round Cadwell would you

Jools 08-Aug-2009 14:59

By the way...nice to see you back Steve

I wouldn't worry no-I don't have bikes as ornaments-as Nick Mason said about his Ferrari Daytona " if you're not going to use it you may as well fill the engine with concrete"

It would only be my creaky bones, not fear of losing notional value, which would keep me from riding it.

Can I ride this in the Desmo Due class B races? If not, then I'm not buyin it.

Paul James 10-Aug-2009 10:16

So as the thread started life as a 996R comment what is a reasonable price for a tidy, one owner bike?

No need to go to Biketrader Paul, I'll take it off your hands for £3800 and it'll save you all the hassle and charges ;)
