For sale to a good home !

Due to a sudden rush of blood to the head, I have decided to change my approach to biking.

I am therefore considering the sale of my pristine 'sedici, #0025.

It was registered on 16/05/08, since when it has covered 1400 dry miles. The only water it has seen has been when washed. The warranty and paid servicing extends until May 2011. All servicing to date carried out by Cornerspeed.

It has been fitted with protective plastic coating to the bodywork (I think Ventureshield) and a hugger. Just had a new tyre fitted.

It is the plain red version and comes with all the goodies provided on delivery.

I am looking for sensible money. If you are interested PM me. Serious enquiries only please. No test rides !

logyk 03-Sep-2009 18:56

logyk 04-Sep-2009 20:50

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........203 views and no interest whatsoever.

MJS 04-Sep-2009 21:12

Or no-one can afford one.....

Sell a kidney....sell both !

Hell you only live once !

logyk 07-Sep-2009 15:26

Due to a complete rethink of my future biking needs I have decided to sell not only my Desmosedici (details above) but also my beautiful 888 Corse (pics to be posted later when I get home ).

Please let me know if you are seriously interested in either bike.

firefly_1965 07-Sep-2009 15:36

888 Corse? you will have no problems selling that baby.............for that i would be willing to sell a kydney............pics PLEASE

pguenet 07-Sep-2009 16:24

God, this is parting with some serious exotica that. It will certainly feels to you like you lost both kidneys when they will be gone!!

Oh well if you hang-on til Saturday and big-IF my right numbers come out it would be a pleasure to take those off your hands... until then, can't afford those unfortunately :(

logyk 08-Sep-2009 13:45

Thanks Rod,

The bikes are not at Ducati Coventry. The pics of the 888 were taken when I was buying it .

logyk 14-Sep-2009 14:31

WEll over one thousand views and both bikes are still for sale !

There is some overseas interest in the 888 so if you want it to remain in Blighty step forward.

I gues that despite the optimism of the present incumbent of No 10 money is still tight.

Wulfie 15-Sep-2009 14:50

To be honest, and I'm not looking for a fight here, how do you honestly expect to sell them if you do not give a clearer idea of what you want for them. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I couldn't afford either one, that's for sure.
Are you working on the principle that if you have to ask, you can't afford it.?..I tried to sell a bike a few years ago with the similar tactics, upshot was after about 3 weeks trying I came to the conclusion that I really didn't want to sell it, so I didn't until almost a year later............letting them go is a hard thing ;)

Good luck anyhow, it's almost impossible flogging bog standard stuff these days

Mr C 15-Sep-2009 17:48

Im seriously interested in both bikes, However my wallet says otherwise

(Why didnt I try harder at School?, teachers were right dam it)

logyk 15-Sep-2009 21:45

There you go ....all your problems solved in one flick of the chequebook.

burtsp5 17-Sep-2009 00:55

Hi,
If the Corsa is still up for sale in 3 - 4 weeks, please contact me, just sold my house, all gone through, waiting for the transaction so no worries,
But somehow i think i'll be too late.

Regards.

TP 17-Sep-2009 02:29

I probably could have bought a Corse for what it cost me to fix Jaspers SP5!!

Good luck with your sale Logyk, the market is a very small one for both bikes.

Let me know if and when you wish to move forward.....you never know in these times. There is interest but no money on the table !

Thanks for your the good luck wish TP ....as you rightly say the market is a small one. Thankfully the reason for sale is not financial so time is on my side from that point of view.

logyk 25-Sep-2009 18:51

Just back from a trip to Germany so an update.

There is a good deal of interest in the 888.

I spoke to a Belgian dealer about the Desmosedici and , due to the exchange rate , he may be interested as he has a potential buyer. No UK interest !

final_edition 26-Sep-2009 03:16

I can put you onto a Ducati/ classic bike dealer in Belgium. he had my RC30 and dad's 851 strada.

No messing from him, pound notes in hand.

logyk 04-Oct-2009 20:24

Both bikes are still for sale !

logyk 13-Oct-2009 20:32

Over 2000 views and the bikes are still for sale.........although I am told that a buyer for the 888 is waiting for his house to sell......new bike arrives in 11 days so would like to shift at least one even though after I spent 3 1/2 hrs on Sunday tidying my garage I now have room for 3 more bikes !

Damn this Government and the bankers ;)

Chris Wood 14-Oct-2009 01:30

Whats the new bike?

Even with the current exchange rates at an all time high to the aussie dollar, I couldn't get the Sedicci here for fair value? Damn the import/gst tax man!

Could I get away calling the 888 a vintage historic vehicle? Hence GST / import tax free?

Good luck on both sales!

logyk 14-Oct-2009 02:34

The new bike is an 800GS............ for exploration of this globe we live on.

As for the 888 it is from '94 which makes it 15 years old ........that is about 90 in bike years.

logyk 18-Oct-2009 20:17

Desmosedici and 888 Racing (Corse) still for sale .........let's hope the bankers get their bonuses soon !
