2010 31st International Ducati Clubraces Assen

2010 31st International Ducati Clubraces Assen

2010 Will be the 31st time the International Ducati Clubraces have been organised on the famous TT- Circuit in Assen. This is a unique race event, which has become Europe’s biggest amateur race event, with participants from the whole of Europe, America and Japan

DSC is again in talks with Ducati Club Nederland about racing DD at this prestigious event.

With this being such a massive event, as part of an agreement to race we have to guarantee that at least 35 bike will compete.

Hence, this message on the board has gone up – please add your names below if you are interested in racing at Assen

Date for this event has not been set yet but 2009 event took place during the first weekend in May

Cost in the past for this event have been similar to racing in the UK and the Dutch Club offer us place on there trackday on the Friday prior to the main event, again at a similar cost to UK trackday. Hence, the only real extra cost is getting there.

Please note Assen has also fallen fowl to noise restrictions and any trackday running will have to be 98 db

If you are still in any doubt about racing in Holland just ask people who have been there in the past and they will tell you that it has got the best falsities and organisation, the track is amazing and second to non.
Hope you can make it.

WeeJohnyB:devil: (I had the idea of buying a cheap road bike, riding it from home to the circuit, prepping it in the paddock, racing it, then riding home again. Possible or dreaming? Really would love to ride Assen

Chris Wood 08-Oct-2009 00:24

There has been known to be some Scottish tunes banging out in the paddock years previously....make you feel at home amongst the mustaches and leather chaps!

It was briefly discussed last year, but with about 35 interested parties ( no backing out at the last minute, put your money up front), it would be possible to get the DD a demonstration race at WDW2010 around Misano.
Cost of transport would be approx the same as going to Guadix.

Ooops think I've just Hijacked this thread....sorreee!

ells 13-Oct-2009 01:40

Ghost 27-Oct-2009 07:37

Kenoir (just need to get the bike finished first)

AK 13-Nov-2009 10:20

Ton says provisional date is 30th may 2010

Jolley 18-Nov-2009 16:31

I am planning a return to Class B next year. If I am in the series I will come along.

I would also be happy to pay at the start of the season if we need to do that to secure it.

domski 19-Nov-2009 20:53

If I am allowed to do Assen as a one off, I'll try to sort a bike. Happy to not score points too.

Not knowing you, why should you not be allowed??

domski 20-Nov-2009 06:00

I can't think of a reason why I shouldn't be allowed, it may put some people's noses out of joint though (I have been outspoken in the past and was 2006 Class A Champion). However if it helps get a grid at Assen, I'd love to take part (I don't want points, but a pot would be nice, lol)

rossco572 25-Nov-2009 20:42

as i don't know domski i have no idea what 'peoples' thoughts would be but mine are that outside participation would be welcome but the prizes are for DD racers not pot chasers! contriversial I know but heartfelt..
