For Sale: Ducati ST4 2000 Hi, for sale is my Ducati ST4 with 14k miles on the clock and 6 months mot and tax, it passed the mot with flying colours last time. It had new belts when i got the bike in mar '08 along with new chain and sprockets. It has a Datatool alarm and I have fitted some Optimser trickle charger leads. It has 2 small scrathes, 1 on the tank and the other on the fairing but hardly noticeable. It had 2 complete new mirrors earlier this year. The bike starts first time and runs like a dream. £2795 offers ?? Contact Dave on 07852-270037 Pictures available on Pistonheads |
so is my bike priced too highly or is there no one interested in a ST4 at the moment ?? |

If it helps I just sold my 2001 ST4S-for £2,000-it had new chain and sprockets, new tyres, just had belts oil and filter, full luggage, and a 12 month MOT-oh, and it was immaculate but with 34,000 miles. John |
Ok - Price Reduced - £2495 - Offers ??? |
Yours is a year older than Johns and its not an S either, so its got to be under £2k i'm afraid. |
I part exd my 2004 ST4 with 15k, no scratches, full luggage, loads of extras including CF, heated grips, ST4S swinging arm, new tyres, full service etc etc etc £3k |

Exactly-that's why I sold my 2001 '4S for £2,000-looking at ebay we both got about the right price-sad but true. John |
I think I paid £7500 so it cost me circa £1000/year in depreciation but I the pleasure gave it gave me was worth the cost. |

Agreed-I paid £8500 in 2001 so excluding servicing and consumables it cost me £6500 over 8 years so £800/year-but the memories of where we have been on it are priceless. John |
Hi Monty I was so tempted to buy yours but bottled out, glad its sold shame about the price but hey ho i'd have been over the moon if thats all i'd had to pay for it. I had a senna ST4S until last year and your friend bought it, remember. You came to collect it with him. I kept the 998s and sold the ST which i now realise was a mistake. If i could find another good one of these i would buy it in a heartbeat. Regards keith |

I did wonder about giving you a call Keith-especially after you had posted that you wanted another one. But I guessed that you would really want something newer than mine. Anthony loves your old bike, and still uses his ST2 as well-he just loves ST's. I set the suspension up to suit his weight and riding style and he is well happy. John |
As i say, i was tempted. Glad he likes it. The thought process if i'd bought yours was to get nelly to strip and replace every bearing in the engine, wheel bearings etc . Perhaps a little tweak to give it some more oomph. Generally refesh it internally. Never mind, i will look in the winter, although you never know i might like the new multi thingy once i've seen it in the flesh. Going to the Milan show on the thursday. Penny each way , can't be bad. |
