Wanted - 996 or 998

Anyone know of a 996 or 998 going cheap that might work well as a track bike?

The better the spec, but the lower the price the better!!!

I've a yearning ya see!!! ;)

I'll have the R6 for racing and the Duke for viewing :)

Although Couch and I did toy with the idea of a couple of 1198Ss for Endurance!!!

LOL.

like a pheonix from the ashes, Chaz, you'll see ;)

Rattler 11-Nov-2009 12:55

And is the shed (or the bike) for sale? With / without engine?

JasonBoswell 11-Nov-2009 13:00

You'll have to ask the new owner. I sold it to Phill a few weeks back as I just didnt have the money to do anything with it sadly.

I actually wrote an email to Tim about this possibility, then deleted it.

I'm caught in the middle on this. I really would like to re-build this 996 as a fun track bike, and even have a very solid standard engine to put back in it. Then again the other side of me says I've lost interest at the moment and could do with the cash.

Maybe I'll feel differently come February......

Nice work!!! - I want to sell, but I don't ;)

Its a nice opening gambit for negotiations to begin........:)

I'll call you, not that I want to buy it you understand ;) - more to discuss your current dilemma and an opportunity for me to share your pain, show concern and empathise, which may leave you with some cash and me with a project!!!
