NEC Bike Show - Who's going and when
 

Three weeks until the bike show starts
So whos going and when and what are they looking forward to seeing

A small group of us from Oxford are intending to go up on Trade day Thursday 26th

I'm hoping Harris will have their Moto2 bike there, having had a couple of Harris Magnums before as well as quite a few parts for my race bikes, they always manage to produce a quality product, so i'm looking forward to seeing the quality of their latest race bike.

Going trade day as well, we will have to all meet up. Sounds like a Hants Berks Ox meet already.
Quite fancy a looky looky at those new Knox gloves for DD next year + I need a new pair of boots for DD ( gona stick with Alpinestars ).

Not going to get a photo with Bradley Smith again this year as after I looked at it when I got back I looked like some sort of Child Stalker with my arm round him. Jes whats it like when your hero is a 16yo kid ??? pervy ?

Just take your camera around to the Barbers across the Bypass from Senna3s unit and you'll be able to get pics of him there you Stalker you, I have the feeling you were stalking me for most of the DD season :o



You need to register a business with some sort of trade connection as I understand it, our tickets are through an Italian Vehicle specialists, that normally has the odd Ducati kicking around the workshop

Not going this year-I have a press pass but I will be in India.................I am going to Milan next week though-whoopee.

Friday 27th for me, i've got trade passes but i prefer the full day, not just dinner time on!

How do you go about getting trade tickets ? can any company apply ?

Team MotoPike / Brightman racing will be there on trade day, so that means me, Andy, his brother Adam who runs MotoPike.

Basically looking for the young ladies in Lycra, is there anything else there!!!

A few perverts by the sounds of it, no doubt Craig (Gybte666) will get his lens out every time he encounters a young lady in Lycra

Hopefully catch up with you guys at the Show and you can introduce us to Adam

I dont know what you mean Kev, but one of the years there these two were in a tub. What the hell it had to do with Bikes I never did find out come to think of I did'nt really care I bought it. :lol:

Know exactly who you mean Paul. We got so lost round the venue that day we just kept ending up back at the same spot. So glad we never took that compass. She certainly knew how to work the crowd.

What time you getting there as I see trade day fis rom about 8am to 6pm this year, I'll be traveling up with Trudi, Kev & Dallas

we're meeting tothill about 9, should be at NEC around 11 ish traffic depending...no point in rushing, not like it gets crowded ;)

I was thinking of leaving Oxford around 10:30, will see what the others want to do and see which car we are going in

Had a great day out, not that there many bargains but as a social event it was great, caught up with so many people and spotted a few celebs from the bike world

really poor show tho; wouldnt want to spend much money on going there, as always the banter makes the tenner worthwhile

Will that be a DD bike or a race 848
I know who I'm putting my money on for a few wins in the 848 series, he may even win it

As for the bike show this was neat although it needs the bigger LC4 engine

I went yesterday. Dispite the negativity this year I enjoyed the day on the whole. All the riders I met were very friendly and willing to chat and sign.
A Tip:- If you're looking to buy MotoGP tickets for Silverstone early and you're going to the show anyway don't buy them on line buy them there. 20% off.
Other good deal was a four month subssriction to the Visordown Mag (used to be Two wheels, I think) for a tenner and I got a an Autoglym bike Valet kit thrown in.
