football I hope England get through to the final only because it will keep a load of morons off the road and in the pub. didnt you notice how quiet the roads where during the World Cup pure riding bliss!!!!!!!!! |
have to miss the riding - be watching the footie...the one thing you cant do on a duke is get drunk, shout and the tv and have like minded mates to sing with! |
footy/riding Hi Bradders enjoy sorry cant see the point if i want to see grown men cry i'd watch eastenders. is this thread on the contriversal meter yet ps rather hear my engine on song thanks. |
Not controversial, you're just showing your femenine side :) |

 Easy tiger  Got to agree, football does bore the pants off me, but i do watch when England play. Much prefer rugby and bike racing, each to their own. |
Rugby is played by men with funny balls! |
overated thank god Flanker I thought i was the only male in the country that finds footy totaly boring its not the game as such just the tarts that play it,over sexed with silly haircuts. there was an article last year in a mag where they tested sportsman for fitness, top fitness was a WSB rider folowed by a Triathlete, swimmer and last was the premiership footballer no surprize there when your lying on your back in a chair with spirits poured down your neck" |

but its another great excuse to cheer on England...especially if we do the double over the Kiwis this weekend in the cricket and the rugby..win Euro 2004... remind the Aussies what its like to lose to the World Champs (you know it TP!!! :-) )...Henman crushing Hewitt at Wimbledon ...big medal haul at the olympics... ah, bliss :D |
and Englang games are BORING....but so is formula one and look how many watch that?? And last years MotoGP - could it have been any worse:puzzled: |

But your cricket team isn't that much chop - -we'll show you next year - after we win the ICC champions trophy (I hope). We can afford to let you win the rugby world cup because we are the only nation to have won it twice! It would be selfish after all! Come on AUSSIE! Considering you're not going to win any of the internationals on the current tour. 3 spankings by NZ and Oz! :frog: Can't remember Hewitt being whooped by Henman at all. How does the Queens championships sound? Henman lost the final to Hewitt how many years in a row? Head to head I don't think Henman has ever beaten Hewitt - has he? I am prepared to be corrected on this. Hewitt was world number 1 for over a year - 18 mths I think ... Henman's highest ranking is 5th ... he's an also-ran!!! Rugby is the sport! I love it, love playing it, love watching it. Although, despite the current Ferrari domination I still like watching the F1 .... although I would watch all 5 days of a test match if given the opportunity (and a beer fridge). Just so I bite hard enough for you JB .... TP |

Oh gawd looks like another burgeoning whinging Aussie  We're always accused of being whinging poms but the worst culprit with a BA Hons in whinging had to be Nick Farr-Jones. In fact some Aussie mates of mine were embarressed by his inane protestations. At least Campese had the (bad) grace to eat humble pie. BTW - I wouldn't give the Aus cricket team a farts chance in a bush fire at the moment :P:P:P |
You think that's bad David, you should hear him when he's had a few drinks  |

Antonye.........is that TP or NFJ ?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: BTW .......bout time us lot up west got together with you lot out east again soon...............ought to organise another meet at London Central. |
Definitely - we've got the Popham mega meet to look forward to anyway. It's turning into a busy year so far with all the trackdays, trips and meetings! Gotta love the DSC :D |
and maybe factory trip at end of year? |
SSSShhhhush! Don't get everyone excited... ....but yes, I will organise something... |
I'm up for the factory trip ... NFJ is a bit of a carry on ... but hey, I wasn't whingeing - merely defending my nationality!! Every country has their whingers ... it was good to see Campo eating humble pie though. I still try and emulate his goosestep when I'm playing ... got a try earlier in the year through that one! Why don't you rate the Aussie cricket team? We are having a few fast bowling issue's at the moment but the fielding is second to none, the batting is second to none ... after you get Hayden, Ponting etc out .. Gilchrist walks in!!! Must be demoralising! |
..........ah but we've got Steve Harmison.........rated probably best fast bowler in the world today. And some great newbies...........some old........e.g. Saggers.........and some young........e.g. Strauss. Gotta say I'm very happy with England's cricket team at the mo.......... ;) |
Are not most Aussies desended from convicts? |
So I guess we're actually English then right? ;) |
I'm off to Eire for a few days so I am leaving 20:00 hours on Sunday so I might get a decent ride up to Liverpool on quiet roads |
Quote:
3 spankings???!!!!! maybe one (tomorrow), and then we'll be back in the game and ready to give you Aussies a whooping...and I'm going to be track-daying at Cadwell while were doing it. Oh man, does a day ever get any better :D:D:D And as for Henman/Hewiit... hmm, well, just a dream I'm afraid - but we english live in hope, eh! |

Now that I have to see, TP :o:o:o |
Aah,I remember the last big tournament England were involved in.The whole nation was glued to the tv,..............exept Marko and I having a suberb blast through deserted rural roads.A manic blast through Lincolnshire followed by a coffee and a burger on the banks of the Humber. Excellent.:D |
tv/roads KeefyB Shame your so far away when the TVs on keefy Id share that clear road with you. |

Cheeky bugger! You can come down to Tooting Bec and watch a game when the new season starts in Sept or whenever it is. If you wanna see me score try's sooner than that then come down to Old Deer Park on Tues night for touch rugby ;) The goose-step is harder than it looks! |
Quote:
Nothing like grabbing the nuts of a prop i thought.......... |
Touch rugby, god, that is seriously knackering, harder than it looks, as the constant running. Busted a few guts playing that......... but as always, some of us would decided to put a winger in his place and tackle the the poof. [Edited on 14-6-2004 by flanker] |
You're right flanker - touch rugby is a lot faster, and a lot more running! Good stuff, a lot of rugby guys play touch to stay fit in the offseason. You do improve your handling skills, passing etc as well because you tend to play with a more inventive style. It's a great game. |
cannot wait till thu another great ride in store , pity they will be knocked out soon., last yrs gp boring not the way the dukes were going. |
