Was, but other commitments got in way |
I had tickets but sold them when Mrs Jools couldn't change her shift :( Otherwise, as a bass player myself, I could have stood there like this :o as Flea did his stuff |

Sat in front of TV watching Motogp on Sunday when the phone rings. My next door neighbour has spare ticket for that evenings gig in Edinburgh setting off in an hour, do I fancy it? FREE! I was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. I filled his car up with petrol for him though (500 mile round trip) It was an excellent gig and I cannot believe it has taken me 15 years to get around to watching them live. The bits of jamming between songs between Flea and John Frusciante were worth the trip alone. As well as the brief versions of Joy Divisions Transmission and that Donna Summer song (can't remember what its called) sung falsetto style by John Frusciante. When the encore came the drummer came on a good few minutes before the rest of the band and ran through half of the Led Zep back catalalogue which seemed to confuse the younger end of the audience but us old farts loved it. If you get half a chance to go take it! |
Read my first post on this thread - tickets for sale! |

What Flea plays is very inovative but quite easy to play :bouncy: .......................yes , I play bass too , 4/5 sting electric and double bass.......but only for money  |
I`ll be there this weekend(both days) and on the 25th. some times work is bloody hard!!!!:lol::lol: |
Also went last night. Agree pretty much with Weeksy. Certainly didn't miss much not seeing "Chicks on speed". They were c*ap. Much bottle showing on stage and booing. Only down side, the early rain and too much time waiting around before the Chillies came on. Again not a huge fan, (wife is) but a good show. |
I`ll be watching you Nigel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:o:o:o |
