As soon as I have the time I'm taking the dremel to mine!

depend on the bike i guess but generally if you want it to actually do its job, the bigger the better.

Melnie Mouse 16-Jun-2004 12:13

I thought you were giving away a big hug from title of post.. I could do with one of those :(

Big Hug

Been previoius discussion of this.
However depends on what the job is. I bought a DP long one to protect the shock and under the seat. And it is great, no holes from tyres wearing though it (see previous thread), and has worked a treat.

If you don't want to replace your shock (and half the paint on your engine) after two years, then a hugger is a must!

http://www.tecmoto.co.uk/ are in Essex - pop along to the showroom and have a look. They'll even fit it for you.

Have a look on e-bay,there's a few for sale at the moment,i picked up a short hugger and a shock guard, both hardly used, for £120:D

Melnie Mouse 16-Jun-2004 13:08

but where's my hug then????

TJ 16-Jun-2004 13:16

A hugger from TecMoto is £120...

It what weather do you ride Jelly? If your a fair weather rider only, and keen about cleaning your pride and joy (like I am:P) then a shock guard is the way to go. Looks 100% better than a hugger and does execatly what it says on the label.

If you do use the bike in all conditions, then I guess a techmoto/DP hugger is the way to go.

Be aware that some huggers require you to drill and tap the swing arm for the best/most secure fit.

Shhhh!

Dont want to push Henry's ire too much but you can get a special offer by phoning my secret contact on 01243 782544.
If they've got any left, they had DP huggers for about the £99.99 mark. But don't tell anyone else or they'll all be gone!

Big Hug

unless your shock guard (Casoli) works it way round, onlyneeds to be a few mm's squares off the rear tyre in about 30 seconds and falls off. Not alone in this experience by the way.
Big hugger.
