Camping for MotoGP @ Donington

Peeps,

As you may have read elsewhere - myself and monty will be trying to secure an area at Donington for us all to camp together (in the Motorhome area) as some of us had a great time doing the same last year.

So we can guesstimate how big an area to tape off, can we have a show of hands from everyone who wants do huddle together, drink everyone else's beer and burn each others barbecue?

So far we defo have:
Me (and the clan)
Monty
Tp-996
Mark W.
Vman
David B.
AWS

So, who else?

Cheers!

Scott

I'll be keen to camp, just got to sort out a few things ... like a tent (for Thurs night - sorted for Fri, Sat) and blanket or something .... I'll be up there on Thursday night.

I'll sort out some details and figure something out.

Duke of Balerno 17-Jun-2004 15:46

Scott,

You can count me in, so please keep a space for me and my tent. If I decide to bike down and you have a wee space in Battlestar Galactica could you carry my tent down for me ?. No problem if you're full up but that would be better than piling it up on the back of the ST4S.

Sounds like you'll need plenty of marker tape and canes to stake out a DSC area. If you spoke nicely to the committee maybe the club could pay for a roll of tape......

Duke of Balerno 17-Jun-2004 15:49

nearly forgot...

Scott,

One of the lads who went to Catalunya on the ferry had a 996 so I was trying to recruit another member. He said he was looking to go to Donnington and sounded interested in coming along with an organised group so please pencil in A N Other for now.

Scottch 17-Jun-2004 20:14

Dave,

There's room in the boot for your gear mate - no problems, you'll just need to organise bringing it over prior to our departure on the 15th.

No worries about the tape - we have rolls upon rolls of the red and white stripey stuff at work - I'm sure I could liberate enough :eureka:

Cheers!

Yep.
I too am going - not bought a ticket as I type.
Have tent will camp.
I have a spare 1x man tent too if anyone needs canvass, and a 2x double bedroom tent with same sized porch (does that make sense?) if anyone wants to borrow that bit of kit.
Will have sold the Duke by then so will have a car I guess.
Looking to be there for 2 nights, inc Sunday night.

What's the arrangement in terms of where you are all going to be? Is it on a hard standing?
Any grass at all (camping = grass)?

Let me know if I'm to bring canvass for many.

Tim,

The camping is on grass mate - hope it stays dry!

There was loads more DSC'ers last year though.

C'mon you nudgers, who else is camping this year?

Cheers!

Scott

Not camping but plan to visit for freshly shot haggis washed down by half a bottle of scotch on Saturday evening.
