Race bikes and parts

Can you prove where all of your bikes and parts came from?

Here's a warning of possible disruption!

Read the post you have linked to again
its about frame and engine numbers not parts.
as long as your engine and frame numbers are normal then you have no problem.

Mine is from some dodgy scoundrels known as Knight Road Racing Team...

I love the fact the OP in the other thread goes on about legitimate reasons for changes... If they are legitimate, get some paperwork to prove it.

I remember a Castle Combe meeting about 9 years ago when the police turned up and a bike was taken away.
With NGRRC you always had to fill in your Vin and engine numbers on the back of your scrutineering card, which I thought was a good idea.
It did give me a few issues when I first got the Ex V&M Racing CBR600, as when ever Moodie or Simpson crashed it Honda provided a new frame that was void of any numbers. But as it could be seen that they hadn't been tampered with, altered or removed and the presents of a receipt kept me out of trouble and allowed me to race

For my Class A bike I have the V5 but the engine came from another Class A bike who's rider retired and he broke his bike for spares, at least the engine number looks like it should do.

definitely!!

mines a road bike bought and converted by me so more than happy for a check. Seems a tad OTT with the resources used, but anything which removes/deters bike theft is a good thing...bearing in mind this is a little like catching druggies; easier and cheaper although less effective to get the user than the sh*tes who supply
