Rather than go out on the bike, as I did that yesterday and Friday and will be out on it again tomorrow
I decided to stop at home watch the racing and throw some parts together to come up with this

Weedin the patio wasn't top of the to do list today then.

Is that an 'arris frame?

dunlop0_1 27-Mar-2011 21:20

Hey Kev I like it already.

1100 motor, single seat, carbon (everything).

Right on both accounts Steve

Frame is a early Harris Magnum 1 which has been converted from a Cantileaver suspension setup to a rising rate set up.
The engine mounts have also been altered to take this engine, not quite 1100cc but almost and with a Bank of Keihin FCR 39s it shouldn't have a problem breathing

Looks like a ZXR400 front & rear end, but i could be wrong;)

Yep your wrong Chris

ZXR750 front wheel with 25mm spindle, fitted with 320mm discs, it will need more stopping power than a 400 as the GSXR1100WP engine should make about twice the power
ZX9R Forks and modified Yokes
EXUP swing arm, narrowed across the pivot
ZXR750L Linkage
Twin Clicker Fox Shock from my old ZXR750J1
GSXR1100L rear wheel

Seeing how well this one was doing on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I decided to list mine a little earlier this evening
In the first 30 minutes it had 89 page views, 12 wathchers and one queston asking about a Buy it Now price

Hard to say what its all worth but Ebay is one way of finding out

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...STRK:MESELX:IT

skidlids 01-Apr-2011 21:49

146 Watchers and over 1100 page views, after 1 day
Don't think I've ever got anywhere near those amounts for an auction before let alone after the first day
Looks like Harris Magnums are back in fashion

People keep asking what I would want for it cash, but typically none of them are prepared to make a cash offer

But hey thats the idea of an Auction, if reserve is met it goes to the highest bidder, if reserve isn't met I'll probably sell it off in parts as I already have interest in the FCR Carbs which seem to be worth a bit

As I was saying Harris Magnums must now be back in fashion

2300 page views and 253 Watchers
Certainly wasn't expecting this level of interest
bet I don't get that sort of level of interest when I come to sell the 998 Bip

I bumped into a Harris owner at Mallory last year and that started me keeping an eye out for one. I have very fond memories of my old Harris and quite fancy another. At the moment they really do seem to be highly desirable and people are paying a premium.

Hope you get a good price.
Mark
:)

Cheers Mark
I've just had an offer of £3k for it, that would certainly help pay for a couple of test days, especially Angelsey as i've never been there before

"bet I don't get that sort of level of interest when I come to sell the 998 Bip"

Haven't heard a thing from him since then, may be he sobered up :)

Not an 'S' James, its a Standard Bip apart from the graphics along with the Ohlins shock, 45/50mm Termi half system and a Carbon Hugger
