My latest project, just about finished ! After buying my 748R from a guy in Glasgow who described it as 'mint' ( which it wasn't !! ) I pulled it completely to bits apart from the engine and have over the past 3 months been building it back together along with cleaning and replacing anything that needed changing. |
One word "STUNNING" |
Like that, like that a lot. Come and do my 996 for me..:) Craig |
very nice |
Looks completely tasty :) Top job. |
That does look very nice indeed! Well done! |
Beautiful, well done. IMO though, loose the LED's. Awful  Spoils the bike. |

Do those include indicators? Lovely bike BTW |
Very very nice. |
Thanks Guys. It took some work ( and parts ) to get it like this but it really does look virtually brand new. The led rear lights do have the flasher function but I am not using it as I have a full set of the Kellerman micro flashers which are really bright and look good. The original rear light looked a bit old compared to the clear light which was the only reason I changed it. Anyone have a translogic dash for sale, fancy one of those for it as well. |
Very nice  Always had a soft spot for the 748R's That's lovely... |
Wow.........Simply stunning! A credit to you. I'm very jealous indeed. Best regards, James |
Dash is now fitted and looks great. I bought some carbon plates and made a mounting bracket that is similar to the RS Corse one. I fitted two led lights for Oil and Fuel even though the display does already have a visual warning. Luckily I managed to get a spare instrument wiring loom so I was able to make a specific loom that just plugs in and the original dials can be fitted again in a few minutes. The clarity is brilliant and the gear indicator works really well, brings the bike more up to date. I also fitted a jhp clutch cover and a carbon fuel cap. Apart from getting radial forks/brakes/cylinders everything is done, really pleased with the finished item just a pity my aging bones are finding it tough going !! Is it time for a Hypermotard !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
looks really great. Nice to see people putting these back in tip top condition instad of breaking them for parts. I bet you look forward to scrubbing those stips off that back tyre!! |
Stunning! Wow, what a superb machine. Simply stunning..... Best regards, James |
