Dropped through the letter box this morning
Just need to swap to some less worn tyres and the bike will be ready

Practice day was abit outside my budget so only doing race day

Practice day is an extortional joke, £165 FFS. I'm not doing it either.

bradders 09-Sep-2011 20:50

well crossing my fingers that kitchen bloke gets thru it so I can come shout you fellas on

Bionicle 09-Sep-2011 22:27

Mine arrived today as well, not doing practice day though, i think if they do practice days they should be cheaper and keep it to only those racing that weekend.

kiwicoops 09-Sep-2011 22:46

There's a track day on wed for ~£135 but add on 6 hrs of driving and the fri practice is a better deal.

7x20 mins for £165 vs 2x8 (19mins?) laps and 15min qualy for £200, doesn't sound such a rip off put like that.

I don't know the circuit so will be heading up thurs evening, might have the track to myself.... so normal backmarker conditions then

think the Dentist is doing it ;)

See you all there. Not racing but two nights booked in a hotel to come and cheer you all on.
Be nice to watch a DD race after 3 yrs.
Get your kettles on...

This is from the Terms and Conditions at Hottrax, would be a better deal as long as groups aren't full, plus afternoon 1/2 day is 4 sessions.
"Half Day Bookings
All half day bookings will be charged at 60% of the published price - half days are not pre-bookable and can only be booked on the day and are subject to availability."

ells 10-Sep-2011 09:54

Was put off the test day as they are running two ACU groups and one track day group.

Tickets here and cant wait to get there now!
:)

mat2hew 10-Sep-2011 10:04

didn't even look

you lot spend too much time worrying about stuff, at the begining of the year, as soon as the entry forms arrived I filled them all in and sent them off for the whole year,,,,, I didn't even look at what groups were doing what or how much individual days cost compaired to other days, I just worked out the year total and found it acceptable?

i'll be at the test day,,,, enjoying myself, not worrying at all about how much it might have cost.

awesome :frog:

bradders 10-Sep-2011 10:07

well if I make it then at least I know where to come for a coffee and get out of the rain ;)

PHIL-THE-DRILL 10-Sep-2011 10:14

Yep I'm doing it, as it's the last one of the season. My first year at racing and it's been brilliant, but how do you cope without a race every couple of weeks? Perhaps some wild ,mad skiing trips ? ;)

bradders 10-Sep-2011 10:15

be round in a bit Phil....we can plan next year ;)

This year will be worse that last... a run-in with 3 race weekends in 4 weeks has been a bit crazy. I found at first last year it was a nice break, but come Feb I was dying to get back out again.
