Race Numbers DD A/B & 1C So you have to pay another £30 to reserve your race number with hottrax. With DD it was free but first come first served with numbers + an unwrtten rule that you can carry your number on each year. Can I take my DD #6 to 1C for free ? Craig |
As we race in our own series, why on earth should we not keep our numbers??? |

Absolutely agree Phil, thats why I'm checking as we are with Hottrax now not New Era, but I guess I'm more talking about 1C as I want to take my #6 to it. Craig |

You are correct and the DSC administers race numbers not Hottrax. Chri9s |
Brilliant. Thx Chris Craig |
Phew! Can I be 77 please? |

As its not been used for a while I'll put your name against it |

Except for in 2010 ! |
Hahaha! Forgotten so quickly!! |

Sorry Neal I forgot after your change of number from 2010 to 2011, as I started maintaining the list last year I didn't look back that far only looking at my 2011 list where you are #74 and the 2012 list that I have started and couldn't recall #77 having been used for a while. Still as it wasn't used in 2011 Simon can have it for 2012 |
Thank you fella's. So gentlemanly this DD racing!! |

I would love to run number 1 in the C class and buy a new 620 and run number 70 in DD again. The way things are looking though (just doing rough sums) I will be lucky to do any racing next year. :( Have to settle for watching instead. Now where's those magic beans. ;) |

Yeah right ;) Altho no one has ever defended a DD title.... |

Geoff Spencer (sort of) did. If you can call the first Round only a defence (1st and 2nd), but then he dissapeared for the rest of the year to return again in 2007, and was in first after the first 3 rounds, only to dissappear again! |

That would be 1st and 1st, Winning the 1st race by 4 seconds and passing a few Hornets that were given a head start along the way, then Geoff won the second race by 12 seconds, both times from the Old Man Ian Leah in 2nd Quote:
He went off to race a KTM which decided it didn't like him and beat him up at Snetterton |
so as I said; no one has attempted to regain it then ;) never mind actually retained it..... going to be a very competitive year I reckon. 8 winners in class B, 3 (?) in class A. How much will the field get mixed up??? |
Ahhh, well being pedantic, no-one said anything about a successful defence ;) .... joking aside, he is the only one that returned to Class A after winning it. |
As a newbie to racing all of this talk about multiple winners is not helping the nerves and there's still 6 months to go to my debut. As thread started on race numbers can I have a cheeky shout for 42? |
I am sure that 42 being the answer to life the universe and everything was used last year ! Dont worry about the number of people who have won before, theres a lot of people who have not won as well Check with Skids for your number Mark |
To check if a number was used last year, go to Desmodue.co.uk and check the class A/B tables for 2011. If the number you want wasn't used, pm Skids. |
Number 51 will be free as i will be racing with number 9 next year. Steve Hands was racing in class A with number 42 last year. |
I would very much like to tentatively reserve my No 85 for 1c next year. Just need a bike now! :) |
