DSC Track Day 2012

Hello All,

Looking forward to the next biking season and thinking about our DSC track day. A weekend at Snetterton 300 perhaps?

Regards,

James

Yes, we have both a track and date in mind but we are awaiting confirmation from MSV before we can announce it.

I was hoping there is more than one? :)

bradders 13-Nov-2011 21:16

I'm not even going to say anything

It depends on the number of people who book up, but I very much doubt it given the attendance of the last one.

Providing it isn't Snett or Brands (to far away) you can have a deposit for two when ever your ready. :D

I have to admit I was suprised at the lack of intrest this year. It was on a Saturday for £99 at Cadwell. :o Only myself and Bionicle turned up to represent DD which seemed crazy as we where racing there not long after.

ChrisBushell 14-Nov-2011 09:31

I think that you will find that the date will come through in January, once the race callendars are confirmed.

That way people will have plenty of time to get their booking in!

bradders 14-Nov-2011 10:13

maybe the short notice and its such a long way for 1 day contributed Neil

if the dates are out earlier then hopefully this year will be different; and what's wrong with Brands?! Its a track under 2 hours for me so gets my vote :)

Bionicle 14-Nov-2011 11:04

Brands full circuit would be worth the drive down for me :) but i am just as happy with the likes of cadwell :)

Cranker V2 14-Nov-2011 14:15

Mayne oulton would be an idea. As there is no DD round there this year, a good funday out on a fun fast circuit........?

007 19-Nov-2011 20:56

Looking forward to it!

Regards,

James

When we raced there this year the hire cost for Oulton were
£17.5K plus VAT for the Friday and I think Dave Mabutt said it was £21k + VAT for the Saturday.
With it costing more in the main summer months
So wouldn't be cheap and chances are other bikes would have to be allowed to make the day pay for itself

bradders 20-Nov-2011 11:56

so when are we likely to know (says Mr Impatient at the back)?

Donnington may be a good call, before the DD round if there is one would be nice and ensure good attendance....if I were organising it it would be before a DD round at a track DD goes to

but I'm not ;)

Cranker V2 20-Nov-2011 13:30

But wasnt last the trackday a MSV event really last year......? As they did the actual trackday official organisation, not no limits, hottrax etc. So what has cost of trackhare got to do with it? Its te cost of the day to ducati riders (chargeed by MSV) thst the club should be concerned with. Please dont go the route of trying to hire a track by ourselves, just another disaster waiting to happen.

Anyway, it may clash with a nice little weekend at mugello.... now that is one trackday I wont be missing.

Hi guys,Im a newby so would just like to wish all members and especially racers a happy new year,I hope to be doing all the rounds of this years championship,
I have already met Neil Appleby and if all the lads are as friendly and helpful as him it should be fun and a real adventure, looking forward to Brands as not ridden there.

Don't worry I won't

Any sign of a date yet Antony?

antonye 09-Jan-2012 14:24

Yes, we have a couple of dates to choose from, so we're seeing how this works with our schedule before committing.

Hopefully the announcement will be in the next 2 weeks.

Dementor 09-Jan-2012 15:39

Thanks Antony :)

antonye 18-Jan-2012 17:08

We've had the details confirmed on the trackday, so I will put a post together and post it up separately. Just waiting on phone numbers and stuff, so expect it on Friday...
