Carn The POO!!!

Henman is all over the Poo - 2 sets to 1 and a break up inthe 4th.

Dig deep Poo - you can do it!

Well, apparently he can't!

Well done Tiger Tim!

You'd never guess our Tony is from overseas! ;)

Cheers!

Hernman!...isnt he another looser just like the football team??????????????????????????????

TP 29-Jun-2004 10:55

Fantastic national support there! NOT!

Get behind your teams, national reps, even if they lose! I still support our basketball team and they don't win anything! Andrew Gaze - what a legend!

I still support Garry McCoy and he wasn't won any championships. I still support the Wallabies even though they lost the RWC to you blokes. Show some national pride and spirit!

Besides, Tiger Tim's nemesis is still in the draw! COME ON Lleyton!

dickieducati 29-Jun-2004 10:58

no he'll cock it up again for sure, hasnt got what it takes when the chips are down. we all like a loser here in england.

love him to prove me wrong though.

Excatly. I'm not a tennis fan and I don't rate Henman in the grand scheme of things as he's not proven himself. But do I support him? Yes. Do I want him to win something? Yes. Do I do this because he is a fellow countryman? YES.

Expectation Management

The problem is that us Brits are disappointed so often that we poo-poo our own people to avoid what we fear is inevitable disaster!

We're just not prepared to put our emotional welfare on the line yet again, only to be beaten into submission and despair by another underwhelming performance...

If he wins it, of course, he's a national hero and it's all due to our undying belief in him over the years...that's about fair innit?!

:bouncy:

TP 29-Jun-2004 13:48

Well, IMO you should still get up and support him.

If you want to see absolutely gutted - you should have seen me on the day of the RWC final. I was a shadow of my former self.

But I still support them!
