Yorkshire next year

Any one organising a meet/ridout in the Yorkshire area next year?

Seems to be a lot going on down south

Anyone go to Squires regularly?

skidlids 24-Dec-2011 22:49

Alway plenty going on down here in the South and there will be again in 2012

I'm sure a few of the Yorkshire guys still get together for rideouts, be mad not to with some of those great roads up there

chris99 26-Dec-2011 19:46

Yorkshire Meet / Branch / Rides

I look like the 3rd.... there is definitely a need for a regular meet / rideout etc in Yorkshire.... I'm up for it and live near Otley, so Squires is OK.
Bit of a softy though. Have to wait until all the salt has disappeared! Can't sleep at night if I can hear it eating my bike. Got an MTS 12S....
cheers Bob

Guido 28-Dec-2011 21:46

4 of us now.....

"Boys..We got ourselves a convoy" :)

Jasper 29-Dec-2011 21:34

5-shifts permitting!!

Ray 30-Dec-2011 11:38

I call in to Squires from time to time, not always on two wheels though if junior is with me.

As you probably know hundreds of bike there on Wednesdays and weekends but rarely more than a handful of Ducatis.

Ray.

supercharged 31-Dec-2011 10:56

Occasionally get as far south as Squires on a Wednesday or the weekend. Whitby on Thursday evenings during summer months, Helmsley on weekends. But for the best biking roads I head north toward the borders or the Dales (Devils Bridge). Of course that's when I'm not in the Black Forest, Alps, Dolomites, Piccos... Roll on Summer, can't wait.
All the very best to all for 2012, let's hope it's a good one.

Chris.

schrimy 25-Jan-2012 00:23

So do I make it Eight then?

flatline 25-Jan-2012 09:28

Sure looks like a convoy then:lol:

Not finished the project DuCafe 750ss yet but should be well done by the good weather

Still getting out on the Firestorm though

I'll keep an eye out on this thread then as the weather gets better we can sort out a ride

On a different note, anyone local to me willing to offer a bit of advice re electrics etc?

Hope to switch the loom to monster which throws up all sorts of questions, none of which I know the answer to (This is my first project)

Great to see so many wanting to get together

countcoupe 29-Jan-2012 21:52

I'm game.

Guys,

As we're short of an RO in the Yorkshire region - if anyone would like to volunteer and take the position we would be more than happy!

It doesn't entail much - basically you will be the contact point for people in the club and will help to organise local meets, for example a pub night once a month and the occasional rideout.

The MT will support you, provide you with all the info you need, and you also get a free t-shirt!

Just drop me a PM if you fancy a go - I was the Essex RO for many years and it's a great way of getting to know people and making some great friends!

srad34 29-Jan-2012 22:42

+1, Out most Sunday mornings if there is a run out.....

Quarrybends 30-Jan-2012 19:10

I might even make it a nine ball...

Iconic944ss 31-Jan-2012 16:26

Rockjock via Ducati Up North are looking to organise a Northern ride on the 4th March, weather permitting.

I'm sure they wont mind a few extra coming to join in but will ask anyways.

Cheers - Frank

August 16th there is meant to be an Italian Car and Bike (Informal) night at Squires by the Alfanutz club:

http://www.alfanutz.co.uk/index.php

There is an open invite for Italian bikes.

Might have a toddle down ;)

Cheers - Frank

As long as the weather picks up ill be heading over for that.

Hirsty 06-Jan-2013 03:43

I agree...

There does seem to be a lot more going on in the south. I'm from Bradford originally, so used to be a frequent visitor to the Milk Bar (including long before it moved out of the village). We used to love having a charge up to The Sun at Fewston after that. Happy days. Been living in the heart of God's Biking country for the last decade (Wensleydale). Would absolutely be up for a meet-up, but going to work in Malaysia this month for a while, so might have to wait a bit for me. I hope a few of you get together and make something of our patch; hopefully I can catch up with you later in the year. In the meantime, if it's fair tomorrow, I'm wrapping up well and firing the S4 up!:)

chris.p 06-Jan-2013 09:44

Still on the look out for some one to take up the RO position for Yorkshire, drop myself or Ant a pm for more info.

Hello There!

Unless I'm looking in completely the wrong places then, I'd go a little further and say that there seems to be few Ducati meets in the 'Midlands', to such an extent that during the last year I've been heading even further North for meets and events.

I'm starting to think maybe Italian, rather than Ducati meets are the way to go, along the lines of the car club as that was quite fun the few times I got to Squires...

I think its about time we all had a trip to the Lakes again as I missed that event in DSC/Ducati history quite a few years ago, anyone fancy that ???
