Anyone using 848/1098 race fairings in 2012?

Just wanted to see if there is anyone out there that might want to buy a spare set of side panels and belly pan. Thinking of using 848 nose cone and can only find people who sell full set.

You could try emailing Dave at www.hcracetech.co.uk and ask if you can do a deal on just a nose cone, its a long shot but worth a try

CRC and Ricami Weiss list nose cones separately.

I got one yesterday. But fitting it?!?!?! uuummmm.

Chaz 03-Jan-2012 15:56

The 848 nose dosn't lend it's self to fit as the 748/9** dose it relies on the side panels & 2 fixings near the screen the 748 one has 4 fittings to the nose cone, but anything can be made fit.

Yeah i did notice that when i lined it up last night. Have seen few pics of some bikes running them, would be nice to see some pics of how thay have fitted them :D

Cut the sides off, you won't be using them, then it only fixes by the screen. Did that on my 996 one and seemed to work ok and mean I didn't need anything to fit the sides

My spare set of 996 fairings are from the above. Superb quality and not to expensive.

I had full 848 fairing, but the bracket would have allowed me to run just the nose on it's own. It mounted to the sides of the screen, with a third arm down to allow a fixing to the bottom centre of the nose (there is a flat section there). Mine was fabricated by Dave Wood at DWR in Aylesbury... He can make up whatever you want.
