I'm booked this on my new bike for this season, 800ss mini twin. Never ridden it before and need to get used to the power, gearing, brakes, tip in, set up levers and clips ons etc, so booked in inters. No limits give a 10% discount to TDR members. I believe Kenoir, Lily and Wrecked748SP are all booked on. So what you waiting for?

I'm tempted too as I've never ridden Cadwell. Novice or inters for me, given it will be second time out on the bike... and I'm slow :D

Oh dear I am going to up against it with the prime of the DD race circuit turning up and having no excuse to hide behind lack of bhp I may be playing catch up, dohhh. I'll buy the biscuits.

I'm on holiday till Feb 24th so I can't, need to do at least one TD before the end of Jan. Bike should be finished, track ready by next weekend.

Go to cadwell if you like but we'll be at oulton ;)

I'm going to do back to back with open pit lane on the tuesday 26 and 27 March I thin it is at cadwell, get some proper time on the bike before season starts proper

Might have something on that weekend actually, so may do the Mallory with you guys on 11th. Will see if the bike is ready to ride by then...

And that bikes knows its way around Cadwell realy well, so just sit back and enjoy the ride there ;)

a more general question (but obviously applies to Oulton here), what group do people book into? I'll probably try for Novice, if they let track bikes in novice, given I'm slow, it's a low BHP bike and I have never been to Oulton before.

Do you guys book in advanced or inters usually to avoid the axe murdering nutjobs? :eek:

I'm booked in the inters, though its been a long time since I rode on a track

new bike and new track in likely wet so defo inters at best for me

normally I go in fast, only as it makes it less likley I will get held up too much mid corner and when they come past they disappear. IMHO safest group

I'll bring the 800 if I get it back together in time;)

Stevo book inters, novice will be too slow. Agree with Bradders fast is safest, I've booked inters as its a new bike. As long as your lines are consistent then inters will be fine

noticed today that the Mallory day is 98 db...better get the baffle out and prey it passes!!

And remember Oulton is 102db :( and the tester is a right miserable hardline ****

And from memory they do make you go through noise testing at Oulton. Mallory they just let you out on the track.

Fastest isn't always safest. Brands before last season every Fast group session was Red flagged. I put it down to racers trying to immediately get straight back up to speed, but not allowing for rustiness or the cold track. By contrast, Inters was actually nice and steady for pre-season testing.

Ditto that.

It's also booked up now so max in each group. Guaranteed chaos.

Popped over to Oulton yesterday to get my bike noise tested as I didn't know it's db. Without baffle it was 109 db, with baffle 100 db phew but it was cold and they stick the mic too close so I reckon without baffle on a hot day prob 105 just

I'll be wobbling around in inters staying clear of everyone

I am going to be setting up as close to the toilets as poss, so one of the first garages on the left near race control

great save us a couple of spots - I may be there just before briefing as I refuse to leave earlier than 5am on a Saturday!!
