Otei 12-Jan-2012 21:26

Bet you a pack of dried fruit they don't get beaten!

bradders 12-Jan-2012 22:17

well I'm sure we'll be trying, not saying I will or I'll even be at the sharp end but I will be going as fast as I can....we talking dried apricots here?!

cadwell class B with a fast bike and good rider will be beaten if weather conditions are right

I'm not so sure on that one Paul. I was a knats off Rons time at Anglesey I was in the 1:21.769 where Ron posted 1:21.734.
I think Anglesey could fall, if the weather and the wind is kind/helpful. :D

bradders 12-Jan-2012 23:01

arrogant warning again....sorry....I would have beaten Cadwell on your bike. I was ahead of it twice when chassis let go and put me on the grass at bottom of the mountain. It will go. And I think I know the person already who will do it...just hope he doesn't crush aim number 5

The interesting one for me is Oulton, this year the times seemed miles away???? Ok wasnt exactly baking but there was one dry race from memory and Sam was going at a dry pace on his blade

and Donny on these new tyres??? Who knows....

With these Dunlops and fine weather I think Donny will go. Mr Appleby was only 0.5 ish from taking the flying Listers record at Brands. so that another poss.

Cranker V2 12-Jan-2012 23:29

Plusw there are also new records to be set in class 1C or C1, or whatever it is. Ok just class C will do for me................

Not to mention the changes to the circuit since DD last raced there

Class 1C for Classic superbike class, not a hard one to work out :p

Cranker V2 12-Jan-2012 23:52

FFS cant it just be class C, or are we going to get B1 1B 2D or even god bless em 38DD on the grid! :)

Jolley 13-Jan-2012 07:01

It is a mistake to assume a record will or won't go based on last year. I did that with Castle Combe. I was very close in my first season, but no nearer the second year on a better bike with better tyres. It is a different year with different riders on a different day. Anything could happen.

Brands - wrong time of year, but I think 3 of us were within half a second last year. Depends on weather and how much anyone pushes...

Anglesey - Phil had a (ahem) very light bike with plenty of power, but with Sam, Phil and I all getting similar times it clearly isn't impossible... However, conditions were near perfect for Anglesey. Are you on the same track layout this year?

Cadwell - Bradders and I were very close, but neither of us had the quickest bikes.... But conditions were very good.

Donny - new layout, new record

Snetterton - I think Neal could have gone quicker, but he clearly had a dodgy fuel pump in the dry race.

Oulton - It was cool and wet/damp all day. I had quicker times from the dry practice day, but Sam's time is pretty impressive!

PDL 13-Jan-2012 07:16

The class A Oulton times are quick, they would be competitive in the W100 mini twins. The class B time would embarrass bigger bikes in a track day fast group

Cranker V2 13-Jan-2012 09:33

The Anglesey Class B and Class A records WILL NOT get beaten this year............................... According to the calendar we are on the international track configuration , so a new record to be set on new layout!

That's Cobby for you. However his Pembrey record did fall to me last year and then to Andy the next day so anything is possible.

bradders 13-Jan-2012 11:38

International Cirtcuit - is that the bigger or smaller one?

PDL 13-Jan-2012 11:42

Biggest one

No corkscrew but it does include a decent back straight and a fast right hairpin. Left hander on to start finish is a bit tighter and trickier though.

bradders' favorite part of the track!

Cranker V2 13-Jan-2012 12:56

a 1.50 will be a good time around international track

And the hairpin is flat no camber so low side city and the left hander becomes more off camber so high side city. You'll love it

bradders 13-Jan-2012 14:47

sounds perfect ;)

brummydave 14-Jan-2012 23:42

I think that was the point at which I realized the lead Phil and I had over Alan in 3rd.... I probably shouldn't have been in such a rush. However my speed round that corner was the only way to make up the ground I would lose on Phil's lightweight rocketship down the loooong back "straight".

bradders 15-Jan-2012 11:20

I certainly wasn't awesome on that final left, whether crashing it not!

Think I'll watch my Anglesey vid this afternoon and upload it :D
