Tecmoto... bad news

Just been told they've had a fire in their lovely new workshop :( ... must be bad, no servicing for six months.

Any other suggestions where, preferably nearish to Maidstone, Kent, to take a 9** for valve clearance and fuelling set up check?

Paul James 06-Jul-2004 14:14

Sigma Performance

I heard about this when I was down at Brands as I was on the phone to Mike whilst the fire engines were still there. Didn't think it was my place to make it public news at the time so didn't make a post on it. Now, where do I take mine? Not going to Parkinsons :(

Give 'em a call anyway as they may be able to sort you out.

You could always give Neil a try at Sigma Performance. Nice guy and DSC member.

Should have given a bit more explanation really. Michael always takes his bike to Neil at Sigma - it's booked in for some TLC next week in fact, but he's more of a tuning man than a general servicing chappie.

The request was more for one of our newer members who asked me for advice (silly boy) as he's new to Dukes (and Duke specialists) and reasonably local to me. I've given him a list of the usual suspects SEish of London (Sigma, Tecmoto, P&H, CMW, DLS, Snells) in addition to his local Ducati Ashford, but wondered if I was missing anyone obvious - or even obscure. The bike is out of warranty.

Anyone ever use Laguna in Maidstone for example? They used to be Ducati dealers didn't they?

Your thoughts gentleman....

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - nooooooooooooooo !

I've been booked in for a service for months - 19th July just before a track day. Bugger!

Now who can fit me in two weeks - I bet no-one for 6 weeks minimum.

mega, mega bad news :(

Monty 08-Jul-2004 00:20

My 996 had it's first-600mile-service at Laguna, they managed to overfill the oil-didn't exactly fill me with confidence. Mind you this was 6 years ago.

Called Wayne about some brake pads and other bits, was totally gutted to hear about the fire - why couldn't it have happened to someone like Casoli (joke ;) ) instead?! :(

They won't be carrying parts for a while according to him - and they were heading towards bigger and better things too!

Hopefully they'll bounce back quickly :)
