Spare seats on flight down to Popham Megameet
 

I am intending to fly down to the Popham Megameet on bank holiday Monday (30th Aug) and have up to three spare seats at the moment.

I will be leaving from an airfield at Sherburn in Elmet, Yorks sometime in late morning, but can also supply transport from the Nottingham area.

Flight is around 150 miles and should take no more than an hour each way. I will be returning to Sherburn in late afternoon.

All I ask is a contribution towards the fuel costs which run at £100 per hour, so in effect each seat costs £25 per hour. Think you will find it an interesting day out for £50. Anybody interested, drop me a U2U please.

This is the main reason I have sold my beloved 996. All I need now are some decent size DSC stickers to fit on the plane!!!!

Been following your recent posts (re; flying) and I'm beginning to feel the urge to get off the ground! Gained my pilot licence over ten years ago but haven't flown for quite a while - in fact my C of E is nearing its expiry (Dec). This happened once before in fact ('cause I couldn't justify the cost of merely flying around in circles and not actually going anywhere so I let it lapse!), but I took refresher training to revalidate. Maybe I'd best get up there and log a few hours before I have to do the same again!
It's a brave decision to sell your Duke though. I'd only do that if I had CPL ambitions. Do you? If so, best of luck! (Three spare seats eh? It must be a Cherokee? Or an Arrow?)

Weevee, it's a TB20 Trinidad. In avaition circles almost as tasty as a 996!!!

Not fancy coming with me, I'm only based in Sherburn, can't be more than hour and a half from T&W. Would be good to have a pilot alongside, and you could log some of the time toward your CofE. U2U if interested

Are you going to do some circuits for Avgas paying types at Popham? That'd be nice way to get VFM, especially if you've hired the bird all day.
