IS Foggie still our president?

At the risk of resurrecting probably the most contentious issue ever to grace this message board, can anybody tell me if the Foghorn himself is still El Presidente?

If he is, surely it's about time we got shot of him, after all he has been running a a rival team in WSB for coming up for two years now.

Wonder who he bunged to get round the homolgation issue?

Henners 10-Aug-2004 15:28

I agree Yeti - lets start a poll! My vote would be for Paul Smart.

yeti 10-Aug-2004 15:32

I dunno, have you seen Kwikbitches' bum in tight leather?

totally agree get the muppet out, i did remember to bring the issue up at last years AGM but unfortunately after the meeting had closed. doh.

paul smart could be a good option, doenst have to last for years and years could be changed every couple or so and would be nice to have someone that would actually take an interest in the club and its activities, attend a trackday maybe etc?

maybe come up with names here then we can run a poll when we have a dozen or so?

yeti 10-Aug-2004 15:34

Here we go again, I can just feel it.

Take cover lads! :bouncy::bouncy:

TP 10-Aug-2004 15:36

Paul Smart is a great idea.

No I'm not biased just because I've ordered a Paul Smart 1000 ... why woul dyou even suggest that

Steve M 10-Aug-2004 15:36

Yes, Paul Smart would be good, or what about one of our own members - err, like HENNERS.

yeti 10-Aug-2004 15:46

I'm warning you guys, this one is gonna take some flak. If you don't believe me, ask some of the older members what happened last time I raised this particular issue!!!!

Loz 10-Aug-2004 16:08

Who is "Foggie"?

Why is he President? Has he done anything noteworthy?

yeti 10-Aug-2004 16:11

Em, let me think...................

Still thinkin.........................................

Doh.....................didn't he used to be something to do with Ducati once?

Think it was a long long time ago......................................

Nope, it's gone...

Triple Nine 10-Aug-2004 17:06

It wouldn't be for the message board to decide anyway, it's an AGM vote by the DSC paid up membership surely:P

Tin hat on, and Foggy stays:lol:

Foggy or Smart, both legends!, Personally I say lets keep Foggy, he`s done an awful lot for Duicati so lets not just dump the man, lets support him.:)

IMHO Everything Foggy has done has been done for Foggy nobody else. All he ever does now is **** everybody else off and tell the whole world how he was better than Doohan Roberts ect. Lets face it he only stayed with WSB so he could be the big fish in the smaller pond rather than put his money where his mouth is.
Paul Smart gave Ducati the Victory without which the current WSB & MotoGP team would probably never have come into being. Also Paul is a really nice guy who actually rides his Multistrada on a regular basis. When was the last time that Foggy rode a Ducati on the road without a press camera being present

Show some respect, he helped make Motorcycling and Motorcycle racing what it is today...

Some people dont have a clue...

Ask 100 people who are neither motorcycle or motorcycle racing fans to name a famous racer and I would bet more would say Barry Sheene than would name Foggy

Rocker well said mate - you are 100% on the money IMO on both Foggy and Paul Smart.

I honestly believe that Doohan would have whipped Foggy and he knew it which is why he never went to GP's despite big money offers to do so.
