thoughts on fairing stickers??

Well ive fitted the t/day bodywork( looking good if i say so myself), took all the non- essential stuff off and got to thinking about stickers on the fairing. Your thoughts...

everton 14-Aug-2004 20:07

Andy,

Very nice indeed mate. All it needs now is a bit of gravel rash ;)

rcgbob44 14-Aug-2004 20:48

Just a few quality ones would make all the difference and then get the panels gel coated.

Rattler 14-Aug-2004 21:16

I always like a well placed "Ducati Performance" and maybe a few bellypan stickers.

She's looking good though.

I like it just as it is Andy. Maybe just a black 999R to let bods know.

uncle porry 14-Aug-2004 21:56

it looks the mutts nuts, but as rattler says, some bellypan stickers diagonally would look nice...and maybe a corse one on the fairing, quite a lot on ebay at the mo.:)

Anyone used the bloke on ebay for stickers?

He could do a "fila" kit for £20...... not that i want to over fila it............then of course with Evertons suggestion, does it matter?

guest1 14-Aug-2004 22:20

Gel coating.. how much?

PHILLIP 14-Aug-2004 22:48

decal kits !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Andyb,
do not buy decal kits from ebay especially if they are £20 ish they are big time crap, and you will send them back like i did twice and they were still crap, email me for more info and which ones to avoid, i used Image works, you cannot fault them.
Regards Phillip OBBC :o:o

Looks like you need to work on your chicken strips first

Seriously though, have a word with Desmondo as he's just bought himself a vinyl cutter and will shortly be opening an online whatsit to start selling custom decals. I'm sure he'll sort you out with whatever you need.

andyb 15-Aug-2004 00:37

It is a 190....., Ill be up for some lessons at T/A3 then, :frog:

antonye 15-Aug-2004 00:48

Pah, excuses, excuses.

I'll be more than happy to give you a few tips if you want to come and join us in the inters rather than the slow group.

skidlids 15-Aug-2004 01:05

Let Everton have the bike for a day and he'll add the gravel rash free of charge

andyb 15-Aug-2004 11:04

I will probably take you up on that Antonyeee.

andyb 15-Aug-2004 11:07

...joining the inters bit....

bradders 15-Aug-2004 12:36

blank canvas...Haga copy maybe??

andyb 16-Aug-2004 11:46

Have spoke to image works, bits on order........ not too fila!!

Desmondo 16-Aug-2004 12:25

Would be interested to see what you get and how much it cost Andy. As Antonye said, I've got myself a cutter and will soon be opening up an online shop with easy ordering and online payments. I'm trying to keep it fairly simple to start with so won't be doing full bike kits but there will be plenty of designs and logos to choose from along with various sizes and colours.

Watch this space :D

It would be good to see how the 999R performs on the track, especially with around 50bhp more than mine ... another 50% extra oomph!

As long as you promise not to bring some of your mates along with speed guns

Desmondo 16-Aug-2004 13:27

Nah wait, that would be cool. Could have a top speed competition on the longest straight :D

i dont think it will make much difference to be honest not in terms of power anyway, maybe on the handling side but i wouldnt have thought anyone will be at full throttle for any lenght of time. not unless they want to end up on the oval circuit.:lol::lol:

But you riding gods are far more experienced than me at this, im just a novice.
