Not sure Roy, that was all Tonios doing but I think Ron Jolley was keeping it up to date last year

Thanks Kev, i'll leave it for a while in case anyone picks it up.

Tonio600 25-Apr-2012 10:58

Yes, Ron was keeping it up to date last year.

I'm happy to set it up for 2012 if someone is willing to just enter the results after each race. It's only a jobby of picking the riders and assigning them their position at the end of the race. The system calculates points and standing automatically.

I'll provide username/password for whoever wants to do this.

numbskull 25-Apr-2012 13:24

I'll put my name low down on that list.

ells 25-Apr-2012 17:32

Willing to volunteer (provided I get simple instructions).

Err does it cope with half points (Snetterton)?

Cheers
Mark

Its an Excel Spreadsheet so any number can be put in.

Tonio will it be able to cope with not only the 23 races this season but also the half points awarded after last Sunday's race that was red flagged after 3 laps

Tonio600 25-Apr-2012 21:08

The number of races is not a problem.

Half points? Is that because the race was red flagged, the riders still standing only got half the points normally given for their position? I can make the system deal with that.

What are the classes this year?
Points?
Can the X worst results be dropped?

No Spreadsheet around here Sir, they've all been replaced by databases ages ago...

No dropped results this year
Classes A and B as normal
Also Class 1C which has had two entrants take part so far

Half points were awarded because our second race of the weekend was red flagged twice, after the first time the race was cut to 6 laps, the second time it was red flagged the majority of the field but not all had crossed the line for the third time. So rather than run a 4 lap dash at 6:20 pm in what looked like it would be wet conditions we decided to call it a result and award half points
Points start at 25 for a win and work there way down to 15th place just like last year

Lol I'm still in the dark ages. How are you anyway Tonio, hoped to bump into you at Brands. I expect that young person of yours is keeping you busy.
Your be back, DD is in your blood now. lol

Craig

Tonio600 25-Apr-2012 22:37

Unfortunately fatherhood doesnt leave me much time for bikes... DD is not in my blood, it's in my office and I look at it everyday thinking "remember when you were a young lad..." ;-)

I guess I'm lucky I get to commute on the ST2 when the weather's good. Nothing beats racing van drivers in roundabouts, panniers on the floor... Ok, DD might...

numbskull 01-May-2012 13:20

Did anything come of this thread?

I still have my name on the list.

Tonio600 01-May-2012 21:16

Sorry mate, I didn't get round to configuring the system for this season just yet. Something will come out of this thread, please bear with me.

Jolley 02-May-2012 13:54

Neal, it might be a bit tricky for you... After all, you managed to highside an un-highsidable bike! A Foolproof database may prove to be un-foolproof!! ;)

Kev, why only 23 races? You have 3 races times 8 meetings in your spreadsheet, so I was about to configure 24 races for each class. Is this ok?

bradders 09-May-2012 07:56

Oulton is 2 races on 1 day Tonio

Gbyte666 09-May-2012 14:57

Just seen this on the Hottrax.

Thanks Paul.

Tonio600 09-May-2012 22:58

Ok guys, all this year's races are now in the system as well as the class A and B racers (who raced so far - I'll add any newcomers on a need-to basis).

Could I have the list of class C entrants? (firstname, lastname, race number).

Now we just need someone to enter the results for the all races so far. PM me whoever doesn't mind to do it this year and I'll PM you back with username/password.

numbskull 10-May-2012 17:06

Class A and B are now up to date.

Does anyone have the results from Class C???

Tonio600 10-May-2012 17:13

Thanks Neil, great stuff.
