anglesey practice/trackday (which group?)

anyone doing the practice/trackday on the friday at anglesey- which group do we go in as it's not an acu test day and running as a track day with nov/inter, adv, acu groups- also says no lap timing????????????

Spjallen 24-Apr-2012 23:12

I am; cant have you getting more practice than me! I'd think the acu would be the one to go in. I'd give the organisers a call first though.

milesaway 24-Apr-2012 23:19

hottrax say whichever we like suggested probably adv or inter- reckon the acu 1 is sure to have all the fastest of 600cc and 1000cc fours in and could be crap- probably best we all go in same session- maybe the middle one, but thought i'd see what everyone else was thinking

Trackday , this is good for me, means my mates from work can do it too, show them how quick you can go on a 50hp bike lol

PDL 25-Apr-2012 14:52

I see yet again you are there with Hottrax before thw W100 meeting on the 4th June. Had to wait last year till about 6:30 until the paddock was nearly empty. What time are your races I will come down early to watch on the Sunday.

skidlids 25-Apr-2012 20:53

No idea what time the races are yet, as the order gets rotated so its not always the same class finishing last

Gbyte666 25-Apr-2012 22:30

Great, next time I can get some cake, you lot were all finished and scoffing cake as I was about to go out and I did'nt fancy going out in the last race with chocolate cake crumbs in my helmet ( ohhh errr )

I don't like the sound of a novice/inter group - could be somewhat unpredictable with a lot of riders fast on the straight bits and then in the way on the corners. ACU group could be a bit scary with the speed differential. Advanced would probably be the best compromise for me, but I agree it would be best to go out in the same group if we can. What do others think?

bradders 27-Apr-2012 09:42

advanced or ACU for me. At leats with ACU they should not always get in the way mid corner, and I can learn the track/use as test rather than wobble round on a track day

skidlids 27-Apr-2012 10:51

I can't find a form/pdf for the trackday

bradders 27-Apr-2012 11:38

on Hottrax website..well the link is but I cant do online from work

skidlids 27-Apr-2012 15:28

I paid pre season, so I don't need to book and pay all I need is a pdf doc to print out, fill in and send off

batesy2 29-Apr-2012 11:09

I,d avoid the acu group, being on track with the power cup boys etc i think could be risky/frustrating I,m going for the inter group
see you all there

Exchanged emails with Dave at Hottrax yesterday, probably best for us to enter the Advanced group

Not Advanced/ACU or Novice/Inters

Si1208 29-Apr-2012 20:31

Ok - that's me booked in 'Advanced' :D

Spjallen 30-Apr-2012 13:43

I've been giving this some thought as I had initially booked on in the ACU group. After emailing Dave he is now changing the groups about to reflect what we normally have. Hes put me in the third group, like normal, to try to avoid any confusion. Its on the web site now, much easier. Simples.

bradders 30-Apr-2012 16:57

so that will be novices on 1000 cc plus DD then? As its a test day, last thing you want is being tied up in a trackday group imho

Spjallen 30-Apr-2012 20:42

Maybe not so simples - Been on the email to Dave and so far only 2 track day people are entered. The Third group, which is really were we should be, fits with the bike capcity size as well. There will be no track day novices at this meet at all - they are not catered for.
