thanks for info kev- which other models are same wheels |
weighed a new and old type rears today- not very accurately on bathroom scales with disks and tyres on and both read exactly the same at 12.6kg! |
Didn't think there was much in the weight of the rears, just that the later ones are a better quality alloy that doesn't distort so easily and the bearings don't drop out of as easily. Also there are a big difference in the weight of some front brake discs, early Ducati ones being the worse that I know of As for the fronts they can be found in 748 916 996 ST2 ST4 (i think) M600 M620 M695 M696 ( I suspect are the same even though the rears aren't) M750ie M800 M900ie M1000 MTS620 750SSie 800SS 900SSie |

I think the fronts are more of a total saving but I believe the later rears have more of the weight near the center making them more efficient, (faster/optimized) although I don't know this for sure. |
As the suitable front wheels are above here are the 4.5 Inch rears 25mm Spindle M620 M750ie M800 MTS620 17mm Spindle 750SSie 800SS M600 M750 600SS 750SS |
