from what I recall the race had a damp start, dried out a bit and then got damp again, or was that one of Sunday's races

That was all weekend in a summery

it was the race that got called 20 minutes early with no warning and no time to make any adjustments for the rain that had just started.. I don't remember any drying out bits but I was so scared of crashing that my mind has blanked hours of that weekend.

Especially as I had promised Karen that I would no longer race in the wet.
