Brake disc compatibility Which later model brake discs are interchangeable....from the 748/748R/996/996R/998/998S or 998R? Did read something about different offsets a while back, but after a little search, couldnt find the info. Could someone clarify? |
Hmmm - I think that its only the 748R disks that differ from the others. Not 100% sure on this though. Tim |
Not sure about the offsets but I know the 996r had slightly thinner discs than previous models? |
I'm 99% sure that the the 748r and 998r have the shallower offset, while the 996r has the standard offset which means they will fit all other 6 bolt Ducatis |

like the man says its only the ohlins model 748R and the 998R run a differant offset, if your just looking at std production bikes, all others are interchangeable, but may have differances especially the centre |
While on the subject where can I get a disc bobbin for my 748R discs (yes they have a different offset to my other Ducatis), would I better off trying the Brembo place at Silverstone or someone like JHP. Only missing one then I can put them up for sale along with the Ohlins forks and bottom yoke |
Hi Kev, I've probably got one you can have, as I lost a couple some time ago and decided to replace the lot last year. PM me your address again? Andy |
Kev do you mean the "floater" (weird name) on this page: http://kaemna.de/cms_en/katalog.htm?...seite&seite=13 Cheers - F |
